91Pylons
I`m wondering if it`s possible to replace a push button 4wd in a 92 Loyale with a D/R 4wd(both 5-speed) from an 89 wagon. Has anybody here ever done it? Is it possible? I really miss my D/R!!!! It totally kicked rump roast in all the deep snow we had this past year in central PA. (over the bumper deep at times) Thanks in advance.
GeneralDisorder
Go for it - should be a pretty straight bolt-in. GD
TROGDOR!
Get the trans, shifter assemblies (leave it all together, just undo the one bolt in the D/R shifter to let it drop out of the car), and console parts. It swaps right in. D/R is so much better than PB... have fun!
Subi81
I agree with trogdor. DR is wayyyy better. I swaped my 86 push button for an 85 dual range. I kept the push button shifter so I can wire up the button for smoke screen or something, just kidding. Had to drill a hole in the dual range shifter to do this mod. Just make sure you get ratios to match your rear diff. Don't forget the center console, and Dual Range lever and the sensor that is attached to the linkage. you will also have to plug or remove the vaccum valves by the wiper motor. you will never look back Good luck!
