drainage!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

ok i have a 1986 gl10.. when i park it the battery drains(overnight) its not the battery, it holds a charge in other cars. when we got it, the fuel pump wouldnt pump so, we figured it had to do with the ignition. we grounded the pump and now it works, could that by any chance have anything to do with it? Also my light switch doesnt work quite properly, when i turn on the parking lights, everything works, but when i turn it to regular lights, the tail lights go off. any help would be appriciated.

thanx

when you go to hook up your ammeter make sure that you have less than 10amps being discharged or you will toast your meter if it isnt fused. to do this hook a test lamp up between the batery and the batery cable, when the light dims you know your safe and that all your computors have timed out. be sure not to break connection. if the light dosent dim then you could go about the process as if you had your ammeter in there.

Hope that helps
