  1. Eh, surely not healthy, no. I'm just being sarcastic about the "bread and water" comment, but honestly, I have serious stomach issues...
  2. Maybe you're just getting the "bottom of the barrel," so to speak. When gas is running low at the pumps there is a higher percentage of water at the bottom of their tanks. I always "top off" and have never had a problem. I have about 12,200 miles on my car.
  3. I recommend a 2001 2.5 RS if you like the "classic" "GC8" bodystyle, or a 2002 WRX that has NOT been modified and also has low mileage.
  4. Yeah, I have a sensitive stomach too. I get sick even if I eat bread and drink water.....seriously. :-\
  5. Ok, cool. A mature crowd. My favorite beer is A&W. No alcohol for me.
  6. I was just yelled at for posting the "ricer" term. :-\ Sorry, but I couldn't think of a better way to describe the "show." That's all I was referring to, but apparently others didn't realize that, aside from you. :-\ But yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the "show." Carlisle Productions USED TO hold an import show, and I think it was cancelled after only a year or two. I went once (when I owned my GTI 1.8T), and basically hung in the "Euro Section" with the Audis, BMWs, and VWs. I didn't even bother looking at anything else. Anyway, my main concern was that this show was just another one of these shows. I'm just trying to clarify that it ISN'T, because I have better things to do with my time. I'd definitely be happy to show up with my STi. I doubt I'll be "showing it," per se, but I wouldn't mind parking amongst the others.
  7. Geez, relax. I'm talking about the typical Honda boys with their big antenna wings and bad stickers. I don't see why everyone would be so "sensitive" to it. If it's going to be one of those shows, I'll just sit it out. I prefer to share my time with a more mature crowd of enthusiasts than the ones doing burnouts in the Boscov's parking lot.
  8. Count me in! I'm about an hour from Carlisle. Is this going to be at the fairgrounds? Is it an "Import Car" meet, because I thought Carlisle refuses to hold them any longer. Apparently a few years ago, some uh..."enthusiasts" didn't know how to behave themselves, and Carlisle stopped hosting the import shows...... Fill me in.
  9. I saw you today in the window of Advance Auto Parts. Actually, I lost your #. You'll have to PM it to me, Tim.
  10. I belong to so many forums already that I didn't bother to look for any more until now. I already have "memberships" with www.iwsti.com, www.clubwrx.net, www.wrxfanatics.com, www.nasioc.com (Nabisco), www.i-club.com, and now here. It's tough to keep up with all the forums! LOL!
  11. Again, thanks for the welcome, you guys! Nice '06! I like! I could've settled for a different color combo than WRB/Gold, but I decided to wait it out. Despite being one of the most popular combos, when I think of Subaru, I think of the blue and gold! It wasn't an option for me!
  12. Maybe instead of "tasting" the antifreeze you get a paper towel, then sniff the paper towel.
  13. Thank you for the compliments, everyone! Here are some photos!
  14. That's awesome, Gary. Do you know what their screen names are? I sent you a PM.....
  15. Just a thought, but it's probably not a real good idea to taste anything coming out of a car.
  16. Any members in the Frederick, MD area or New Castle County, DE areas?
  17. Every 4 door vehicle I've owned has had this issue, or any vehicle with a large amount of "rear glass," for that matter. I had a 2002 GTI and the rear windows would fog like crazy. I also have the same issue with my 2005 STi. I think it's just the nature of the beast. What do you clean your windows with? Windex just doesn't cut it. Buy a cleaner that is designed for auto windows. What happens is the air that is disbursed by the "compressor" has some sort of "element" in it, which in turn causes this "element" to "stick" to your windows, thus causing a film. The window cleaner that is designed for automobile windows has something in it that helps to get rid of the film that builds up.
  18. It definitely sounded like he panicked. There are manual doorlocks in case the power fails.
  19. I'm not real familiar with the EJ25, as this is my first Subaru, so if I'm way off base, don't shoot me. Have you considered that maybe it's a spun bearing? Are you losing any power? FWIW, my dad has a 1989 GTA, and when the motor spun a bearing, the engine was internally eating oil. There was no "smokescreen." Eventually, the motor just lost a lot of power, and then stopped altogether.
  20. Hey everyone, I'm new here, so I figured I'd just say, "WHAT'S UP!" Glad to be here! I just purchased my 1st Subaru on 3/30/05 in the form of a 2005 WRX STi. I love it! So far, mods include a Cobb AP Stage 1 and a K&N panel filter. I'm probably going to add a TBE soon, and maybe a DP so I can run the Stage 2.
