^^ what he said. i only bring someone along as long as they can, or are able to help me out of whatever mess i get myself into
-
when i did my 4 inch AA lift, my 4wd shift linkage was up at almost a 45 degree angle, i kept hitting my knuckles on it, so i had my friend cut it and extend it with some all thread bar (cuz its cheaper) but its down at just about the normal position now, i have a pic but im not sure what memory card its on , ill find it sometime
-
heres mine, its a cane head. cut up my old knob and made it fit then bolted it on to the cane head

There are two adjusting screws on the top/bottom and sides. Just go look at it and you will see them, they are not camoflauged.
i kinda figured it was those. oh well ill fix it tomorrow
-
how do you adjust the the light as in left and right,it seems mine is off a little bit
-
how'd the installation go?
your grille adjusting will be a little different than Ken's as you have the big chrome badge on the front of your eye instead of the black cover..
installation was easy just need to wire it in. also i think i need to extend the wires so i can put the switch in my dash.

if you have the money, radiator barn all the way:headbang:i got one for my 83 brat, dual core. shipping is fast as well
-

-
sorry to bring this back up, but could someone take a good snapshot of cuts you had to make on the grill, i just got my light in, but i hacked the one of my grills, and i dont want to screw up the other one.

i drive my 4 inch lifted brat as my daily driver, nothing too obvious to make it look like a 4x4 because i dont have some ATs or MTs. runs just the same as it was when it wasnt lifted
-
holy sand batman.. earlier today i went out at 10:00am to the river bed.. got stuck several times.... good thing my friends amc eagle had an high lift jack ( works wonders! id say its a must have for 4x4) after getting trudging along in the brat, first one to get stuck and first one to get out. got home at 5:30 pm. its fun to drive in sand, but make sure you have the time and dont have to work at 4 pm.:-\
ps buddy system is great for soft sand.
pps was driving a brat stock tires, 4 inch AA lift;)

how hard is it exactly to "bob" a brat? what is involved? is it just cut and "paste/weld"?
-
this vid has an rc brat in it, as well as some others.
-
i saw at my local hobby store that they had repos of the frog and other retro tamiya rcs and was hoping that they would remake the brat, and lo and behold, its comming back. looks awesome.

Let me know when you are planning to go again.
BTW are you coming to my BBQ on the 2/24/07. Take a look at the meet and greet section.
EJ brat should be done by then.
BW
i dont know if i can make it to ur BBQ. but my buddy told me about maybe going to pismo sometime. probably going to bring everyone that went on the gorman trip.( at gorman, i dont think they thought that my subie could keep up with them, so if we do go to pismo, we should get a few subies out there just to show them whats up)
-
yea man that spot is right by CSUCI. and yea he does go to VC. yea i would love to have another subie wheel with us. might be going wheelin tomorrow.
-
yea thats his patented "ram air" snorkle. its pretty awesome. hes going for the mad max look. and that brushguard he has was going on to my brat, but it weighs like 60 lbs, but it fits his car quite nicely.
