  1. thanks for the reply, I'll look into it, the main reason I want to take it out is because one of the bearings is shot and it mkakes a disgusting squeling noise that has got to go.
  2. My air conditioning stoped working and with 225000 miles and living in alaska I see no reason to fix it. I was curious if I could remove what ever is needed in order to save weight or something. Is it even worth looking into? What would it take? Thanks in advance PS it's a 92 legacy wagon
  3. yeah, it's freezing, I will spry it down with some lube, that might help, It's already kinda far gone though, like hanging out when the door is closed, thanks for the tips, I was mostly just curious if there was something "aftermarket" which would do the trick
  4. I still go to a small podunk school called tri-valley in interior alaska, why? And I guess I am just sick of people who automaticaly assume that because someone wants to take off their muffler they are going to be driving around a bunch of peoples houses at four in the morning and stuff. I personally just replaced my subys muffler with the stock one because I like it being quiet on the highway. I also have a jeep with NO muffler and it is REALLY loud, but I drive that out trails where no one else is. It's just kinda like when your mom nags you to wear another coat to school because she is cold. And as far as the the message board goes, by saying "educational" I was reffering more to the theme of the messages, not nessecarily the actual topics, it si a great fourum, I have already gotten some good info out of it that you can not find anywhere else. I was just reffering to the lack of jokes and....alright, vulgarities that make some other fourums so much more "educational"
  5. The plastic clips come out of the door, I replaced it once but I just keep having the same problem with it freezing and ripping off, ussualy when someone else opens the doors
  6. I tend to get some loud squeels when cold (and I mean cold, like 40 below) Somebody mentioned to me that it could be the ac bearings? I'm not sure but I am interested in this subject as well, I've also had this happen when accelerating around a corner in city driving
  7. wow, for someone on a sight where they lift brats and add hood scoops to wagons, this certainly sounds didactic, oh well, guess this sight isn't geared towards the average 17 year old kid who can't resist a dig at the people who are always complaining about the kids with the loud civics and stuff. Sorry, I thought maby you guys would be a little less square and a little more fun to talk to. No offense, but so far this has been one of the less educational message boards I have beeen on, WAAAAAAAAYYYYY less interesting than snowest
  8. you could route the muffler up at the rear with another pipe to get it out of the water, it would look like a diesel truck
  9. if it's to loud your to old! I don't know about the back pressure deal on an engine like a subaru, I do know that two strokes will seize or have a complete lack of power with no back pressure because it leans out, I also know that high performance four strokes like yzf dirtbikes lose power just because the muffler packing burns out, My advice to you is leave it stock unless it is a battle wagon
  10. anybody have a solution for the door trim (92 legacy wagon) The fat rubber tube with the plastic clips keeps ripping off of mine, just curious if there was anything better out there. thanks
  11. hey, my heater isn't working right (92 legacy wagon) No matter which button i hit on the controll it just keeps channeling all the air through the defroster on the dash. My feet are getting really cold! It's 20 below here in ak. Was just curious if anyone knew whay this is happening (fuse,?) I have no clue where to start, electronicly illeterate
  12. yo, what should I hook my kc lights up to as a power source, is there a way to hook them up to my brights? It's on a 92 legacy wagon. I had them hooked through the fuse box and it stopped working for some reason. Also, wheres the best place to mount them? thanks
  13. sweet, did that wagon have any mods on it? looks just like mine and was curious what you have done to it.
