  1. my auto has been slipping and getting progressively worse so i just tried to change the fluid. i drained it than started filling it up but i overfilled it. i didnt think i had put enough in to have overfilled it. i drained some more out but the level wouldnt come down on the dipstick. so i drained it completely and the level is still way over full. like its plugged up or something. please help. im not sure what the heck is going on.

  2. I don't know Jerry looks bigger than mine, more lift or smaller tires...Looks great though, time for some more off-road accessories, but I swear that thing is sitting much higher than Project Cheap.

I love lifted EA82 Sedans since we are so rare....still haven't heard of another one in the states!

are they that rare? i get crazy looks all the time.. fun stuff.

  3. Sweeeet! Got looking 'roo you got there. Yes, keep the scoop. My guess on the lift....at least 4, maybe even 6. I'll say 5 :D

Can't help you on the digi dash. I have seen some posts on converting to analog here. Make a post on converting and I'm sure somone will hook you up. If you lived on this side of the planet, I would give you an analog cluster/wiring/sensors. I HATED digi dash on some of the cars I owned. (300ZX turbo was an exception...it was cool).

Go play with that 'roo and give us some dirty pics:headbang:

thanks. i am on this side of the planet:brow: i hate my digi dash...

couldnt make that last pic any smaller... anyhow its a fun car. ive been haveing a few small problems like stumbling. i have a question for you digi dash people. i hate mine. whats with the temp guage? mine only goes up one bar when it warms up... and lately its just been blank. maybe ill go out and get some action shots on the trails later. how many inches does that lift look to you?

    cheers.

  5. Ok I have decided to do the 5-lug conversion on my subaru, here's what I have :

1987 Subaru GL-10 4WD Sedan Air Ride Turbo, Car was converted from 3AT to 5-speed Dual Range (3.90) Also swapped Rear Diff to 3.90.

I need to know EXACTLY what I will need to do the conversion, since I found an XT6 I can strip parts from.

I dont want the air ride anymore, I want coil springs.

    I appreciate any help.

top right in your screen click on USRM (ultimate subaru reapair manual) and you will find i nice write up in there.

  6. I would suggest silicone grease in you plug lead ends and around the dizzy seal, also you can use a thin disposable rubber glove (the type the doctors use) and put small holes in the ends of the fingers and poke your leads through then put the wrist part of the glove over your dizzy so that the dizz cap and lead are all protected, then hold it on with a rubber band or something...

    Cheers

nice!! ive never heard that before.

  7. the VF11 is a good turbo to use. From what i hear, its smaller than the TD04, but it bolts up the same. Which is good, its a near bolton for your EA82T. However...

The Bolt pattern for your up-pipe needs to be modified slightly. You will also need to run a WRX or the Legacy downpipe. You will also need to re-route your intake plumbing. The VF7 on your EA82T has its output pointing straight up, whereas the VF11 is at a slight angle. The stock EA82T intake plentum wont match.

    -Brian

ill have the legacy downpipe. and the intake shouldnt be too much of a problem. what would be better to use. the ea ypipe or the legacy ypipe?

  8. Nothing will really swap, unless you want to swap the whole engine. The 2.2 Turbo is a nice find. You'll either need the tranny from it, or an adaptor plate to put it in your car. You'll need to strip the engine wireing harness from the car and wire it in with it's computer to your GL - also the exhaust will need some modification. That engine can make a lot of power if done right - it's 165 HP stock tho.

    GD

yeah...165 sounds like a nice number. ill probobly take the engine out and keep it and swap the turbo into my gl and see how long my ea82 lasts and when it doesnt ill put in the 2.2. so the 2.2 is the ej series right? which one?
