My girlfriends 95 Legacy is about to hit 60,000 miles and now occasionally the ABS light will come on. She said once the ABS actually came on while she was braking when it shouldnt have. Is this normal or is this supposed to make you go to the dealer or something?

How do you get the wipers off on a 1995 legacy? Its not like anything ive ever seen. I tried doing it in the dark, but it would help if i had a clue on what to do. Sorry for the retarded question.

In my 1995 Legacy AWD (56K miles) , i get a vibration when its in D and i'm idling. If i put it in neutral it goes away. Does this sound like it needs a fluid change, or new transmission mounts?

Do you have a heavier foot from the extra power?

Well i just got the 1995 Subaru Legacy LS (56K) for my girlfriend, but i had a week with it to do inspection, insurance, etc. I had to give it to her today and i really miss it. It has cup holders, a clean interior, and i got to enjoy driving an automatic for once. And it idles so nice, not like my TBird with its racing cam. I think it convinced me to get an STi and not an EVO, but who knows, that isnt for a few more years. The subarus are really nice cars and well built. But its still part my car so i'm gonna drive it sometimes and do some performance stuff to it. I'm really gonna miss it...but i have a key so she might find it missing.

So just the basic NGK plugs, is there a part number? Does NGK makes wires too? When you said its a non-interference motor and its a good idea, do you mean for the crank pulley?

Hi everyone, I am about to buy a 1995 Subaru Legacy LS 2.2L AWD n/a this week. It has only 56K miles and its in great shape. It has a small crack in the front and a little bit of rust on the trunk. I have some questions that hopefully you guys can help with. What spark plug/wires do you recommend? I'm thinking Bosch platinum +4 and wires. My thunderbird runs like crap with them, but its a picky motor. And how about Mobil 1 synthetic for oil? As far as mods I'm gonna put in a K&N drop in filter, a tornado, and a crank underdrive pulley. I want to extract about 10-15hp and get a little better gas mileage. Do these sound good? I'm not trying to break the bank. Finally, is there anything I need to know about this car or is recommended to replace? Thanks a lot guys, hopefully I'll be around a little more.
