  1. Heres a picture of where I suspect its making contact. The rub marks are obviously from when the 4wd was engaged. But when in 2wd the sound happens when I hard turn left or use my engine brake causing more vibration. My thoughts are its the exhaust pipe rattling and hitting against the drive shaft. There is an exhaust leak farther up the pipe that is causing more vibrations also so that would probably escalate the problem right?
  2. When i bought this car a week ago I was aware the exhaust had slight problems but the aircare is good till september and the car runs great so im not worried about it. But, Id like a driveway fix to this problem if its possible. I am not car savy at all but I do have a good auto shop in my highschool that might be able to do the dirty work. It seems when I take a sharp left turn I hear like a metal dragging sound. So I pulled over to look under my car. And noticed the drive shaft going to the rear wheels has a shiny spot on it. Its making contact with the exhaust piping after the second cat towards rear of car. What can I do to fix this issue. Its not affecting anything right now, but I fear if it keeps rubbing it might go through the already weak exhaust system or even worse hurt my drive shaft. Any suggestions are cool, thanks.
  3. thats awsome. I dont plan on getting a lift. Too much money for me to invest in the car expecialy when my annual insurance is 500 more than i paid for the car. I do plan on trying to get 14" wheels though so I can run some Cooper discoverer L/Ts.
  4. thanks for the help, i wasnt aware i had a skidplate. Im new to the suby thing, its my first car. So I guess I can remove the stock skidplate and get a metal worker to copy the design with a 1/4 peice of steel and it should bolt right on eh?

  6. Hello. How do I go about creating a skid plate and finding a brush bar for my 91 loyale wagon. Its bone stock and I want to enhance its offroad capability. Dont want to tear of my oil pan and a brush bar just looks awsome. Aslo, whats the diff between EA81 and EA82. Do I have one of these?

  8. Has no ticking (yet). Ive only owned the car for 3 days. And it doesnt seem to burn oil. Havent had it long enough to find a leak. I guess Ill try the 10w30 and see if she blows. thanks.
  9. I just bought myself a 1991 Subaru Loyale with 160 000 kms on it, 5 speed, and 4wd. Oil changes are a good thing to do when you buy a used car and I was wondering what oil weight I should run. Ive heard 10w40 is a good choice? Thanks.
