Entire engine. Do a search - you'll find plenty of threads on that sort of thing.
Bottom end of the engine as well as the heads are different. You need the entire engine.

Thanks GD; I was afraid of that...I'll do some more research on it, like you said.:-\

Hey there folks!
I have a '93 Loyale 2WD with a manual transmission. Recently I have come across a junkyard with an old XT Turbo and I was wondering how difficult it would be to fit the turbo parts to my Loyale. I'll need a rebuild kit for the turbocharger I assume, as well as a new set of gaskets; but exactly what all do I need to pull from the XT? Computer? Harnesses? Manifolds? Anything else?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome. You'll find a lot of good info here. Feel free to use the search function to answer your questions, but don't be afraid to ask us either.
Thanks!
Ummmm, I have one question already. How do I post pics?:-p

Hello, I was doing a web search and stumbled onto this club. I've always liked Subarus and used to own a red 1988 DL; but this weekend I just purchased a white '93 Loyale for reliable daily transportation. It needs a little TLC (don't they all:rolleyes: ) but already I am collecting the parts to fix her. Anyways this seems like a nice site and I look forward to browsing through for some good technical info.
I want AWD!

What's up folks!
My 1993 Loyale came with a FWD 5-speed transaxle from the factory. I am interested in not only converting to AWD, but also lifting this puppy up a little with some springs; I hear that Honda Accord front springs work well for the rear.
My question is which models would be most suitable as donors for an AWD transmission, rear end, driveaxle and suspension? Also, which components will I need?
Any input is appreciated!
