  3. I think your posting in the Wrong area!!! New Generation of Subarus Post anything dealing with Legacy, Impreza, Forester, Outback, Baja, SVX, WRX, or any other newer Subaru here.
  4. Thats funny that you say they suck gas!! you think the subaru gets good fuel milage? I havent seen them do that great, inless your talking older 2 wheel drive with a 1200 (whats the point with 2 wheel drive). I have owned most of them and never seen more then 26 mpg A nice V8 in a small rig does real well ( buddys toyota gets 24 with sbc 350 AT ) So maybe your point is overrated as bad as charlie brown's christmas special
  5. Just was woundering if it had been done? I see there is a brat with a 302 on ebay but it looks like its no where even closes to being a runner. the hole front of the car is cut off, I think there is more room in the xt bodys for a v8.
  6. Looks like my plans have changed! Going to try and make the run with you!
  7. Your write need some sort of real locker please find one and tell all of us when you do Thanks
  8. can you say articulate! Thats awesome Dont think the roo will do that. Maybe my duaghters truck!
  9. [/img] You know your write, BUT Its so cool under there already I just cant cut it up and start over! Hers a pic
  10. Yes ,I have a nissian t case behind the transaxle, Just want to split it once more. I bought a toyota case to make a 2 to 1 spliter. just somthing about gears, want more! more more
  11. The second weekend in aug would be a nice time for prowling in the cascades! shoe string?
  12. Its all subaru!!!!!!!!! Just put all the parts in the rite places!
  13. It spins both tires in the mud so I guess that would suggest that they are locked up. also I did not want to throw there name out there , some people get ***************y win you make something like theres. (If you know what I mean)
  14. Now thats a great Idea! I wounder if all the parts interchange from a qjet?
  15. Would like to start a subaru pack to go prowling some trials in the blues or the cascades! Give a shout! (Spokane to yakima / porland to wenatchee) http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m219/longtrackrmk/DSCN2050.jpg
  16. here are some pics of the ones I built! real simple! http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m219/longtrackrmk/DSCN2021.jpg http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m219/longtrackrmk/DSCN2013.jpg
  17. still playing with the pics sorry for the goof up on them. Heres one of my wagon
  18. I did not use a adapter, I built the manifold and carb plate from scratch. I only use the primary side of the carb. with the rite jets it works great. I started rich and worked my way down!!! you can get a lot more threw a Qjet then the 2 barrel Hitachi!!!!
  19. No way to block off the fuel to the other side of the carb, Gas would leak and then a (CATASTROPHIC ) event would happen.
  20. Any ideas on how to build a 2 to 1 spiter I need more gears. 20 foward and 4 reverse would be great!!!!!!!!
  21. When 4 wheelin, I always think about the electrical part. The more (crap) there is the more chance of a complete shut down with no way out if you know what I am saying. so heres my pic !!!
  22. Ya , I have all the specs. Its a 86 wagon with ea82 motor with a qjet. Fully ported heads 2" dual exhaust, Rear dif mounted in the front, Nissian transfere case behind the transaxle, 9" of lift. The motor and transaxle stayed in there stock location!!!The front diff is 6" foward and the rear diff is 2 1/2" back its running 33" pro comps 390 gears with home made lockers front and rear. I made custom lower control arms and torque bars with 1/2"x 2" steel with a 3/4" Grade 8 bolt for the pivot point and 1" stainless for the torque arm. It is fully protected under with rock bars diff to diff . And yes that is a 8000 Lbs winch with twin batterys. With 15 PSI in the tires it rides like a caddy in the woods. the jeeps and toys cant keep up without beating them selfs to pieces.
  23. Yes, they are great for a fabricator. I have put them on almost anything that runs on gas!!!
  24. all fits under the hood too! PS the mileage is great. Still cant load more then one pic at a time How about a tip!
  25. Webers are great carbs , but the Q jets works great so no need!
