  1. i am working on a 2000 outback EL25 2.5L engine. I have removed the heads from the engine and I need to have the heads resurfaced. Before I can do this I need to remove the camshaft assembly from the head. My questions are as follows: can I remove the camshaft assembly as one complete unit? Do I need to remove the 8 stars bolts and the 8 allen wrench bolts that hold the two assemblies together? Is there a pattern for unbolting and what is the torque for reassembly? Any RTV required on reassembly?

  3. I have a 1989 Loyale 4 wheel drive and I am trying to remove the drivers side axle. I have removed the tire and the brakes and the crown nut and just about everything else I could think of including the shaft spring pins. Can some one tell me what else I must do to remove and replace this thing.
  4. I have a 1989 GL 1.8 L w/ FI. I am replacing the head gaskets and need to know if there is supposed to be a gasket between the casting for the head and the cam. The CAM Casting has a grove all the way around it and when I removed it I had to dig out what appeard to be an old gasket.
