it should not be that difficult. make sure you have clearing for all linkage. remove all rear suspension and install and new 4wd suspension. change your exhaust with the 4wd centerpipe and put tranny in. you can either make a single driveline or you can weld in the center bearing.

cost$$$$0 my roomate works at a soob shop so we gte most parts free off of salvage cars. it was really simple to do. we almost got 2" out of it but we had to change the strut top..
-
has anyone replaced ther eea81 front struts with ea82? and if no y not?
me and my room mate were playing around and placed the ea82 strut in his brat and just replaed the top. we used 4wd adjustable struts. with out adjusting them we managed to get another 1" in the front. the down side that we can see is they are alot stiffer then the ea81. if anyone has any info or suggestions plz let me know

i was up ther yesterday about 1ish and saw nothing there and went to everett after that and found a disc setup and pulling it and running around the yard i thought i would go check the diff for lsd and after crawling under i realized i was a complete moron and pulled 2wd discs off and then threw tehm down next to a red ea82 in front, i also noticed at lynnwood pap there was a ea81 with a carter/weber on it but i left it....

i primarly worked on chevys and into subarus now. i recently put my soob together from misc parts basically its an ea81 carbed, and for the longest time i couldn't getit to run very well, i finally started fiddling with everything and the time and got it to idel about 800rmps, PASS EMISSIONS(missing half the egr crap, with major exhaust leaks), and run half decent, did evrything basically by ear and feel and finally today i took a timing light to it and it looks and if its running about 12 degrees BTDC, is that good? im used to advancing or retarding timing to tdc never past it. maybe some help is needed here....

the car it self my be worth 300$ but getting it titled is kind of difficult i don't know how it ins in OR. but here in WA you have to either get ahold of the rpevious owner and have them agree to give/sell to you or find some way to have them sign a lost title forms and get them notorized. its a big pain the owner may try and threaten theft of the car or may say no and he wants it back...
