ShawnW i will b attempting the ea to ej swap here in a few weeks to a month. 93-4 legacy into 94 loyale. i am glad there are a few ppl willing to do the work and i am planning on asking u to do the harness for me. do u have any pics or so on for the harness and removal and such. the ea2ej write up helps but not that much. anything u have or can help with would b great thanx

as for pinching i dont think i did. i have takin the pump off twice to make sure. as for the sealant, i did use a tiny dot of rtv blue on the tip of the tear drop shape where it flattens out. nothing near the mickey ears or anything else. it was just a tiny drop to hold it in place. could that really have made that big of a deal? my first thought was that i clogged the lines some how but i dont see how? with in the next few month i will b doin the ej 2 ea swap. i would like to get rid of the ticking soon. but if i cant figure it out and fix it and the motor will last then w/e. let me know wat u come up with thanx GD u have helped me alot!!

reading the posts awhile ago and some ppl offered to strip and label the wiring harness for the ej to ea conversion for about $150 to $200. just checking if they are still offering to do it. here in a couple of weeks i will b goin to get the motor and harness. i have no idea wat to do with the harness and the ej2ea write-up is alittle difficult for me to follow. it would b way easier to just let some1 else mess with the wiring. so if anyone is still available to do so plz post or pm me thanx

k so i pulled off my oil pump and changed the seals cuz they were leaking. the pump was in good condition. now... i put it all bak together and the lifters tick. normally it goes away after a oil change. it has been 4 days and no change. they tick like MAD..... when i turn a corner left or right the ticking goes away. so is it air in the lifters or wat should i check/change?

i have a 86 gl 3sp auto. i also have a 94 loyale 4wd manual both wagons. i really like and prefer 4wd. i was wondering if i got a loyale sedan from the junk yard if i could take the 4wd out of it and put it in the 86 gl. would it bolt right up or is the drive shaft and stuff to short? can i have some specs? plz thanx lol

i have done 105 mph in my 86 3sp auto. but then i blew a HG. had more power and i was goin for it but it didnt hold lol. and when i went to change them the intake bolts broke so have'n all kinds of probs. but when it is runnin again. im toldly goin for 115. lol (BOOOOOOOM!!!!!!) -

i have checked the radiator and almost no fins are missing or bent and doesnt seem to be any cold spots atleast not that i can find. i plan on replacing it soon but auto parts store can only pull the one up for the automatic car with the transcooler in it, and no double row. i am not sure about the water pump but will check into it. does anyone know like an actual temp that would say hey im running hot... 180 - 200 is like normal right so what anything about 220 is hot? i am not running a thermostat, thought that might have been the prob but its not. -

i havent installed it yet but goin to in the next day or so. the stock needle bounces. it has almost hit the red and immediately gone back down. didnt know if that was a bad sending unit or not. i have already flushed it and parked it on a hill to do the water. planning on switching the radiator to a double row but havent found one yet. what is the highest temps i should be seeing? -

i have already flushed it and it stays cool. just the gauge goes up and down between 1/2 and 3/4. coming off the interstate from 75 to pay toll the temp actually went down to half from 3/4.???? -
whats the normal operating temp for a loyale? the stock temp gauge continues to bob up and down and i went and bought a after market gauge. whats the highest temp it should be going to?

just got done doin the HGs. no cant find where the water is goin. is this a cracked head or what? its got this tiny crack lookin thing on all four cylinder heads. would this cause the water loss? also one of the intake manifold bolts broke so we used tube of gasket crap lol to redo the gasket for better seal. didnt know if this might have broke through and is leaking?

we got the sputtering problem taken care of. the filter on the injector somehow got pushed up and the filter rubber was blocking the fuel. now theres no sputter or anything. another ? though. the oil pressure is at 45 lbs until it gets hot then it drops way down. then at idle the pressure gauge says 0. should it be doin that or is that a bad pump? could this cause the car to severely overheat? also coolant from the radiator is runnin out somewhere. we just changed the HGs. we have followed all the water hoses and dont really see any leaks. only goes away when hot. is that a cracked head or can it just have a leak and the water is burning off to fast to see leakage? also when we start the car if u let it idle the temp goes up to 1/3, is that the proper temp or should it be lower? my 94 loyale doesnt get that hot but this is a older car? i told him to put a trans cooler on there since the radiator is shard for this. that should help alittle right? -

i have read on a few other threads of ppl putting larger weber throttle bodies on the loyales. anyone got any info or links? -
anyone know a way to put a bigger injector on a 94 loyale? or any other way to get alittle more power out of it? im putting a turbo on it and running low boost with intercooler but will be awhile before i do it. just wondering if theres any other little improvements able to be done?

when i get on the gas even just alittle, the car sputters and sounds like its gagging and doesnt want to go anywhere, until the rpm gets to about 2k. got plenty of power above 2k but nothing under it. just redid HG's and have checked the timing three times. changed the air and fuel filter. no vac leaks that i can tell. any thoughts?

do u have to pull the motor to get to the heads? someone said no that u can do it by removing stuff in the tire well. what all do u have to remove? and is it easier that way? i know its a HG cuz #3 piston has water in it and all over the spark plug. -

lol so my friend with the 86 gl auto and i went to the beach today and on the way the motor started pinging and knocking really bad. heat when up water and oil went down.. let me guess head gasket right?
