  1. i just got a 04 outback sport and i need some power tips. first off im not looking to take an STi off the line. (or a wrx for that matter) im just looking to see what small (reliable) mods will give me some extra boost. in-town and freeway driving are fine but on my very frequent trips to mt hood it seems to lagg on the uphill seections. as for the car it has a 5 speed and an ej25. if nothing else i just need a good recomendation for intake/muffler combo
  2. " If you want piss your pants horsepower, it doesn't really matter which platform you start with. Either one will require gutting and rebuilding. " i would like 275 to 300 out of it eventualy but the most important part is handeling and brakes. can you bolt on STi brakes, swaybars, coilovers to a regular wagon. I dont want to take them off the line but in the corners!
  3. im looking to purchase a 02-03 impreza wag, but i would like to know how many wrx/sti parts are bolt on swaps. Or should i just start with a dubx and save my self some time.
  4. i would have to say matt is my hero in rally, there are no million dollar corporations dumping cash into his car and he still keeps the open class on their toes. i thought he had some problems last weekend but other than a loose turnsignal, he was running good.
  5. not sure which camp i was at, my first rally. tanners drifting was sick!!!
  6. i was at the second viewing area on sunday for the first run, then moved (not sure if you should, dont care) up the coures about 300 yards to a nice turn with no ropes to keep me from getting in close Euro style for the second run. got some amazing footage. tanner foust and ken block stand out from the rest with some good drifting. but i have shots of every car that made it to sunday. only 45 of like 70 entrys.
  7. there is still a cost issue w/ a 95&up Imp, you can find a running L for 2000-3000. where a 91 legacy is 1500 on average, an 85 gl i can get 3 for 1000. im verry serious about racing, but im also very new. so im sure ill reck it. im not ken block, i cant buy a new sti for every gumball or wrc race i want. (im not dogging ken, those two Gumball STi's, amazing) i could run a frontweel car for a while and still push my limits, i just love subarus.
  8. rember, i need years, new to sube engine # and the like, but i think i am going to go with a 91 legacy or that bodystyle anyway. though all i can find are auto tranys, is a swap easy, and can you even find a decent 5 speed used. the main thing comes down to price, i cant afford to have much more than 1000 bucks invested in a shell, cause im gona smash it, so cheep is key.. parts i can exchange b/w cars.
  9. what year did that version first come out?, not to up on the diff/ in model years.
  10. sorry, i ment 2.5RS the whole time, i think i need to cut back on hash or something.
  11. im looking to purchase a subaru to use strictly as a rallyx car. price and ease of modification are my main concerns, as well as availabillity of good used and aftermarket parts at a decent price. there are a lot of good used subes from 83 to 94 in my price range, but which starts out with the strongest set up and which car has easy swaps, (will it fit a 98 sti motor? ect..) im not at all new to cars, not too sure about subes, other than i cant afford to wreck a 2000 sti. well, regardless i need some insight. ill take any help i can get.
