Hey all, just started doing rallycross events in Washington/Oregon with my stock 1988R RX. one event under my belt, & put the old girl through the paces! was on track to place 4th of 10 in the stock AWD class till i spun out in a corner transitioning from a field to asphalt, ended the day at 7th. Don't suppose there's anyone in here that goes to the NWRA events? I'm doin my best to keep the RX in the stock class for this year, tired old EA82t starts acting weird when it gets hot (190-205). next race is in Spokane in May, if you're there, stop by and say HI! i'll be camping at the track Fri & Sat nights.

My son wants to go check this car out today. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/689765185653213/ It's a modded out Legacy with all kinds of bells and whistles. It'd also be my son's first car. I don't really want him to get it, but it's his money. The listing states: "Subaru Legacy GT na custom build, leather seats in great condition. Car very well maintained, had turbo on original 2.5. turbo was pulled and motor rebuilt. Motor has approximately 20,000 miles Has 2.5 exhaust with unequal length headers, coil overs on new tires. Limited edition Tiffany blue 18” rims. All oils maintained regularly. Custom stereo, NRG racing bucket seat with NRG planted brac…

I recently aquired from Japan,a Subaru powered race car. An FJ1600 built by Tokyo R&D in 1994. It is powered by a EA71 engine. It has a Subaru transaxle. 5 speed. It appears to have no reverse gear. I have not had the unit apart, so I don't know what is inside. Does anyone have information on the vehicle? It is very well built and appears to be not unlike a formula Ford. I have tried the internet but most of the information is in Japanese and I am not familiar with the language. Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't know where "exactly" to put this so if its wrong, mods feel free to move it elsewhere. I have a 1984 Nissan 300zx turbo 5 speed. It was a really nice car until the PO parked it under a rotten carport and then it snowed 3 ft on top of it.So the passenger side of the roof/rear hatch/ RR quarter panel got smashed along with all the glass except the driver side.$850 later and its mine.I knew right off the bat it would never win trophies at a car show so decided to turn the car into a fun rallymobile, I removed the front and rear bumpers and made lighter tubular steel ones. The front bumper also integrates a crash bar/skidplate that protects the radiator/front susp…

I have a friend that for his senior project he fixed up a 78 mercedes 300CD(with a great deal of my help) to at least a running, reliable, daily driver status. He has been driving it for a year, but he is not really an enthusiast when it comes to spending time behind the wheel. With the way the weather looks to be shaping up it looks like we could be getting alot of snowfall around here this winter. With as much time and effort I have invested in the car I would hate to see it in a ditch the first snow storm.Although to be fair he could probably drive it through a house with nothing more than a scratch.Still though I would like to head up to gravel parking lot up in the woods(…

So, I just got my derby car. 92 matte black legacy, fwd ej22. Ej22 will go into my impreza, and ej18 into the legacy, because why not That is after I get it running. But now to the title, I need design ideas. The number will be 555. But the paint scheme is where I have debate. My ideas were 1: Keep it 2: WRC colors 3: A tribute to the bumblebeasts, radioactive yellow with the black stripe, as a shoutout to all the help JeZek has given so many of us 4. Fighter jet open mouth with olive drab green This is the car, got it for $200, couldn't not get it. Pic in the p/o driveway. Kid wasn't happy when he found out what I'm using it for, lol …

So I've put up a go fund me and am hoping to get help from you guys! I am turning my 83 wagon into a rally car. Right now I am working on the weight reductions and the suspension. I'm hoping to participate in some races next spring and summer. It would be awesome to have a USMB rally car to get some attention to the forums. If it's allowed I will post the link below. Please tell me if it needs to be removed due to rules. If anyone could lend some time helping me with various things (Ideas on suspension, Ideas on weight reductions and drivetrains that might work with a higher powered EA81. I plan on getting most of the forged parts from RAM. Not sure …
