  1. Thanks everyone! I found it on the New Hampshire CL and picked it up for $650. It's an 88 sadly its not 4wd, but fwd will have to do. I plan on keeping it stock and just getting as much as I can out of it till i'm done with college. once i'm done with school ill have enough money to insure my WRX again!
  2. Just picked up this beautiful Gl hatch. The thing is rust free and only has 170xxx miles on it!
  3. The altinator is good and every thing else in the cluster is functioning just fine I'm really stumped about what is going on
  4. ok so i just got my 1987 gl wagon up and running when all of the sudden on Saturday my fuel gauge and voltmeter stopped working also my coolant temp sensor all at the same time i checked the fusible links they all seem fine i checked the cabin fuse box and the back of the cluster and i cant find anything wrong are there other fuses i am missing? or is the wiring in my car just nuts if anybody has any thoughts about this problem please let know what you think it could be Thanks in advance for any help
  5. its a hitachi carb non feedback and to my knowledge it has never been rebuilt so i think i will start with that thanks guys
  6. whats the best way for tuning the carb? i just got my wagon back together and my manual does not have very good info on tuning it? Thanks in advance:banana:
  7. me and a buddy of mine lifted my ea82 out with a pice of rope and a roofrack it was awesome!
  8. i figured it out i hooked up the vacuum lines all crazy so i redid them and it runs fine Thanks guys
  9. i was thinking it could be a vacuum leek im looking in to that but by extremely high idle i mean it just goes up intil i shut the car off its like its running on starter fulid
  10. so i just rebuilt my 1987 gl wagon Ea82 Carbed it starts up but the idle just keeps going up and up anybody have any ideas about what this could be? Thanks in advance for any help!

  13. i was out for a drive tonight and i noticed when i would stop at stop sings the oil pressure would drop to 0 until i hit the gas again so when i got back i parked it in my garage and the oil pressure went right to 0 so i checked the oil and it was fine looked under the car nothing leakin out its a 1987 gl wagon if anybody has had or knows how to fix this problem Thanks
  14. OK i looked where they go the one that goes straight back goes right into the intake manifold and the one going right goes to the bowl vacuum valve and then to the carburetor
  15. the valve im talking about is right behind the carburetor and it has a a blue and black wire with a two pronged connector two hoses hook up to it one going straight back and one to the right(looking from the front of the car) and on the diagram on the hood it say its solenoid valve 4 i started the car without it and it would not idle so i plugged up the tubes and it idles normally i just hope its not bad for the car im going to try and get to the junk yard this weekend
  16. well i found my vacuum leak on the solenoid valve right behind the carburetor the little plastic nipple broke off and the hose was just hanging dos anybody know where i can find one?

  18. mine is 4wd and it has 61,000 miles on it i think almost evrything in the car (besides the stuff i have put in it)is stock not really sure what seafoam is
  19. i took her on a drive tonight and when i got back i looked at the choke and it was straight up so i dont think that is my problem
  20. 1.My manual says i dont have a TP sensor 2.PCV valve looking in to it 3.My friends buddy said there was a vacuum leak but i have looked for cracked tubes and i cant seem to find it 4.tries are fine 5. i have 10w30 in it 6.im not to sure about the thermostat i think it is the original and it was a it slowly failed i when i first got the car a year and a half ago it got 27 MPG highway
  21. i run it to almost empty go to the gas station and see how much goes in to it so i know how many gallons it used and then look at the trip counter thing theremight be a better way but thats the way i know of
  22. yeah sorry i completely forgot to say its a 1987 gl wagon auto trans i just got new spark plug wires and a new rotor it has a dead spot in the gas pedal and not to much highway driving more city
