Today i figured out how many miles to the gallon i was getting and i got a very low 12 that's as much as my friends silverado gets so i was just wondering what could be casing it to be soo low? i have recently put in a new air and fuel filter and new plugs Thanks in advance

ok so i put all the old parts back in and she starts on the first turn of the key so i turn her off and put in the new parts in one by one and when i get to the cap i get nothing so it was the wrong cap the whole time so i have to go back to advance auto parts and see if i can get the right Thank you all very much

ok so im just going to put all the old parts back in and if i get it to run if i do im going to work at it from there

i put them on like that and nothing happend so i dont know what to do

yeah it has numbers i have to go look at it to see if there the same but i put the wires in and nothing happend

i took the plugs out and i think 1 and 3 are wet so there's no spark there am i right because i really dont know if i am do they need to be replaced

how are the wires supposed to go?

so today i got a new distributor cap a new rotor and spark plug wires i get home i turn off the car let it cool down for a bit and then i put everything new in and for the wire placement i followed a chiltons manuel and i go to start the car and it just cranks and cranks and one of the times it backfired or something o and its a 1987 gl wagon does anyone know what this could be

the switch i hooked up has an inline fuse and its has good wire so i think im good for now

so i tried the wire it worked after about 5 taps on the battery and since i need the car running i just hooked up the switch i had for some lights that broke and i didn't really have to do anything cuz they where already hooked up and it looks fine and the car is runing! so im happy Thank you All very much:banana:

i went to start my 1987 gl wagon today and when i turned the key all the lights came on and everything but it made no noise at all no starting noise and the battery is fine its been having trouble starting for the last two weeks and i don't know what it could be so any help much appreciated

could you put a turbo on a none turbo or would you have to put in a whole new egine? i want to do it to my wagon if you can

the manual i have does not say that is has two. i changed the one that's under the body kinda by the right back tire

yup that was it i looked under the hood and one of the little tubs had come off so thanks guyss:banana:

i put in a new fuel filter in and it was idling at 2500 rpms for the rest of the day and then i started it the next day and it was back to normal does that always happen?

as i said in the title the front defroster and floor vents wont work, i can hit all the buttons bilevel heat a/c and defroster and it just stays the same its hard to drive because the window fogs up and its a 1987 gl wagon so if anybody knows what it is it would be a lot of help:-\

there not to steep, it is carbed and its not the cat it a auto trans and the temp is fine i just replaced the plugs and im getting a new air filter so ill see how it does

i have a 1987 gl wagon and its having a lot of trouble getting up hills i have to put it in 1 just to keep it from dieing and im not sure if its just because the car is underpowered but i have no idea what it is so any help would be appreciated

so over the summer i noticed that my a/c was blowing out all kinds of stuff leaves fathers and acorns so i took it apart and i cleaned everything out and there's a tube right at the bottom and it goes in to the engine compartment and i cant figure out where it goes so if anybody could help it would be much appreciated its a 1987 gl wagon Thanks

not brand new but newer stock ones it was real easy once i got all the rust off i think there KYB not sure
