  1. Ugh, another inductee into the Car Theft Hall of Frustration. I feel your pain - I was in the Class of 1980. Sux Rotten.

Might be worth calls to the PD/tow companies in Eugene and Corvallis. This time of year a lot of theft goes on, and the cars seem to end up with unknowing college students who purchase them looking for a cheap ride. You might also call the campus police stations and ask them to keep an eye out. Oregon may have lots of Subarus, but it's worth a try. At least you have a distinctive paint scheme.

FWIW, at least you don't have the Oregon-ubiquitous red/gray or green/gray OBW... the police could be right next to it and miss it, there are so many.

    Good luck!

Thanks you for the help I will give them a call!

  2. Then it could be close by. They obviously stole it for transportation.

I would be out driving around, looking for it.

If you do find it, call the police immediately. Do not get in and drive away.

The car was reported stolen first thing. I have drove a five mile area around my house after the police left and been rubber necking since. I will car the cops as soon as I or any one else finds it in hopes of trying to put a stop to the person(s) who did this violating crime!!!

  9. OK Im new to all of this so Mr Incredibles' I need your help! I have a 85 brat and I have In stalled the weber with the help of all those threads of information that all of you have provided. Thank you all for providing the info need to do any tasks at hand. So I got the weber installed correctly for the most part when i was trying to fine tone it I checked the timing and could not see the marks. With my hitachi on the dist was cranked all the way to the right or left how erer you look at it in order to get 9 degrees out of it. so I pulled the dist to reposition it and well I *%^&@! up. I went back to square one found #1. Double and triple checked it to make sure I had the right location. My weber now spits fuel out of it!!!!

  10. well, I got my Brat running again tonight... I had the engine out to do a clutch job, and decided to put in my 155 mains. then along with that, I finally figured out my wiring to run my MSD6A multi-spark ignition...

Could you send me any info that I could use. Thanks scott

  11. Hey Scout This is Jerry, i would have to agree with GD the only way to go is with the 5 speed. I make a 5 speed kit to fit your brat that keeps everything stock in your brat. Just unbolt the old and bolt the new back in. Thanks Jerry

Hey jerry this is scott again. I forgot to mention that I want to lift, and put a 1.8 or 2.2 turbo in the bratster. I'm not that informed to the specs, but i can do the work. thanks again for any info that u can give scott aka the sandshark.
