  1. By the way... Can you rearend a dump truck so I can have your driver's taillight? Thanks.
  2. Its internal. Not pinging, but for sure internal. I don't have heat sheilds.
  3. We might try again for this Saturday. Still haven't met any locals face to face. We are going to some local Subi meet on Saturday and then anyone is invited to come over after that. We aren't party animals, but we have food, music and a shop with cool stuff. Not to mention the cool dog.
  4. Okay!! I'm not the only one with a 93 that makes that noise! I bet I know exactly what youre talking about. Mine does it when you rev to 2800 - 3000 rpm and makes the noise when you let off to shift. Just for a second or two. If I romp on it all the way to 5k+ or stay under 2500 it won' t do it. In my car it sounds very knocky/lifter, like everything inside the business part of the engine just went temporarily loose. If this sounds about right, I don't have a clue what it is. My engine has 168k on it, but was rebuilt under warranty at 34k. Frustrating. I will never know personally, cause I'm replacing that sound with the sound of two turbos and a couple blow off valves. Let me know when you find out though!!
  5. Twins aren't in yet, but I live down the street from Vivid... To get past the steering was pretty simple. Shift the exhaust coming off the driver's turbo to run closer to the tranny. This requires cutting and fab, but nothing to delicate. It will still go right into the fatory Y. The brakes aren't all that either. I will go with a non-power racing booster with a smaller pumpkin. The only part that makes me cringe is converting to an automatic master cylinder to bypass the hill holder. That piece is more in the way than any other part. I will have pics soon. I will be installing the engine next month. I have to do some harness extensions to get the RHD to reach LHD. Replacing all the hoses and plugs etc... is a wallet buster!
  6. I LIVED in spokane. At least thats what it says on my birth certificate! Hows my hometown?
  7. Yeah. But I have air tools, welders, ratchet wrenches... and a cool dog. You can make it.
  8. I am sort of new to the site. I have a roomate that is new to Subaru. We live in Gilbert AZ and are playing shadetree today. Anyone in the area wants to come over and be a little less bored? I drive a Legacy Wagon with a Twin Turbo I'm building in the garage. My roomate just got a 2008 WRX. He's pretending to work on it till the parts start flowing. I've got lots of shop tools for those in need... A BBQ in the back yard... A cool dog... Come on over...
