  1. I have returned parts to Rock auto with out problems. Talked to a real person on the phone who was helpful. I did have to pay return shipping as I ordered the wrong part by mistake. You really do have to watch them on their shipping points .
  2. Boot failed and piston is a bit sticky in the bore so brake drags. Can I turn the piston out, clean and replace the seal and get it screwed together again with out a big hassle? Piston does turn but have not turned it way out till I know if it will screw together. Thanks
  3. Have not done a glue in Soob but on glue in I set windshield in opening and use masking tape to mark the right to left location. Cut tape with utility knife. Tape goes at top center for me. When you do the install you just watch the tape and no wondering if you are centered correctly.
  4. Check their website. http://www.hitachi-hap-la.com/TokicoGasShocks/app/24a.html
  5. Check out Zero-Rust at autobodystore.com. Do a search for Zero Rust and read all the forum talk . I have never used it but sounds like what you may be looking for. I use POR 15 and WAXOYL like product. I thin it with mineral spirits and apply with 3M BodyShutz gun .
  6. I have never done it but a hat pin maybe, if the grabbing tool does not work. The vacuum might work if you had a small hose in end of regular vacuum hose. I would try many things before I pulled the head.
  7. I assume 90-94 fenders, lower valance and hood will fit 94 Loyale but will GL/DL back to 85 fit? I can weld up the rust holes in fenders and valance if necessary. Hood has a ding in corner . Are headlights interchangeable 85-94. Mine has moisture in the right side. Thanks.
  8. I cleaned the contacts in the main drivers door switch and for now the windows all work. Thank you to all who replied. Yes there are a fair amount of bits inside the main switch and next time I am going to have the screw heads pointing down when I open switch.
  9. So if I start watching for FSM what will the cover say? How many volumes to the set for 94 Loyale? Would I need a master set for say 1990 and the supplements for 94? Sorry I am just learning this Subaru stuff. I just got the Loyale. Before that I only looked at Brats from years ago. I do like books tho and will be checking at swap meets. I will figure out the window problems and post the results. Might take a bit of time tho as I can't devote a whole lot of time right now. I do have Loyale in my way so I have to walk around it. That way I get to fixing it quicker than if it is in the corner and I can't see it. Thanks!
  10. Well I have of of ideas now and will probably attack the easy stuff first. Yes it does seem odd 3 windows won't go up. I do have the Haynes wiring dia. and have been studying that. What is the common denominator? The black ground wire for the master switch grounds 3 windows and the +red wire might be another one . Does anybody know where the - black ground wire for the master switch in drivers door is attached to what/where.?? Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the replies. I did check the archives and did read about the dirty contacts but was not Loyale specific. I will try the assist on the up cycle. LR window does seem to try to go up a wee bit when controlled from the drivers seat. I do have a Haynes manual . I normally like Haynes manuals but for this car it is not the best. I just got the Loyale due to a massive oil leak from the right side cam cover. I installed a new gasket and now am looking at other things. thanks.
  12. From the drivers seat I can lower all side windows but the drivers window is the only on that will go up again from the drivers seat. The other 3 you have to use the switch on the door the window is located. This is not normal is it. ?? Wiring problem or switch in drivers door.?? Thanks
