MissRis replied to soobtank's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWow, my bad, didnt mean to set you off. I was not aware that a dealer did or didnt install tint. That is why I asked in the first place. As far as my comment about places which make you go back... I have taken my other car (before the Soob) to a very well known shop, which I will not mention the name, and every time I went back these mechanics have tried to pull fast ones. Every time i went in there they always seem to find something else wrong. In fact one occasion my car made noises everytime I touched the brake. Come to find out I was missing screws to keep the brakes intact. After that I never went back. So there is your example. Maybe they took advantage bc I am a girl who knows absolutley nothing about cars, let alone mine... or who knows maybe it was a simple error that someone didnt catch... As far as the economy being tied in it... I was saying so because of the recession that we are in, so many companies are closing and going bankrupt. Mechanics arent the highest paid jobs, but some places I have seen will do a half fast job and scam their customers- doing whatever to make a quick buck. There is no need to get all hyped at me... I was only asking.

MissRis replied to soobtank's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXGood luck! I just bought my 08 Impreza and put just over 1000 miles on it already (hasnt been a month yet). That sounds suspicious that you had only tinted windows installed and then this happens. Did you take to have it done at a dealer or another place? These days with a bad economy, people will do things to make you come back and you wont even know it. Becareful!!! Off topic, but what color is yours? I bought mine in the Diamond Grey Metallic with black cloth interior, everyone loves it!!!

Tiny Square on Rear Bumper
MissRis replied to MissRis's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIt's not a hole, just a tiny 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch square. Its offset to the left side. I thought maybe you punch it through for a bike rack or soemthing. Thanks for everyone's ideas. I will try to get a pic for you later this evening when I get home (I cant go out of work to take a pic)

iPod Question in 08 Models
I bought my new 08 Impreza last week. I LOVE IT!!! I was reading through the manual, and was able to figure out the iPod. I plug it in the center console and I can control through the steering wheel and/or the stereo face plate. I can change the tracks no problem, but is there a way to change the artist that way or similar to, without taking it out and plugging it back in the console? Also, I was reading that I can program playlists (using 1-6 presets). I am not sure how to do this, any advice? (The Subaru iPod manual wasn't too helpful). Thanks in advance!!

Help! Daughter Just bought A WRX!
MissRis replied to Gunnails's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI just bought a new Subaru last night... Its safe, and AWD. She will have fun in the snow and the rain, its meant for rough terrain, although she prob. wont take it out and do all that, but its safety is set up to protect you. Good luck, and dont worry, she do just fine!

Sirius Radio Question
I am buying an 08 Impreza, and was curious how to fit my Sirius radio in the picture... The car is prewired for either XM and Sirius, so thats not an issue. I wont have the car for another week bc i am having a moon roof installed and I will be away on vacation for a few days, so it will be ready for when i come back from vacay. Anyway, do I have to set up my radio so it sits on the windsheild or heat/cooling vents or is there another way I can keep it in the center console? Any suggestions and ideas are greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

09 Legacy 2.5i GT
MissRis replied to MissRis's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIm new to the "blogging world" Spiffy- (I didnt see your reply in the meet and greet til now) Im not looking to race this car, or modify it. Its so pretty as is. I think a girl such as myself, who bought a car and knows what it is capable of, can turn heads so to speak. This is my first purchase (without parents help), so any info is greatly appreciated!

09 Legacy 2.5i GT
Hey everyone, I am new to this forum as well as new to owning a Subaru. I test drove an 09 Legacy 2.5i (non turbo) yesterday, it was nice, but not enough power (170hp). If I decide on this car, it will be the 2.5 GT. Any good advice before making this purchase? (5 speed, diamond metallic gray- looks real nice in the sun)

Hello!
Hey everyone! This is my first visit to this forum, and am new to owning my first Subaru. I test drove the 09 Legacy 2.5i yesterday (non turbo), and I liked it, but 170hp isnt enough. I am looking into the 2.5i GT. Is this a good car, all thoughts are appreciated! 5 speed, dark metallic grey (looks hot in the sunlight).
