  1. Phase II 2.5 reliability?

    I'm 99% decieded that I'll be buying a 35th Ann. Legacy wagon within the next couple days. Is the Phase II SOHC engine much better than the DOHC 2.5 with all the head gasket problems? Should I be worried about costs? I plan on owning this car for 10 years/200K miles and I'm a huge AWD fan.

    I believe it is. My Audi (which I'll be replacing with a Scoobie very soon) has a similar warrantee.

    I'm buying a new Legacy Wagon soon, and I have THULE bicycle carriers that I've installed on my Audi roof rack. Can the Subaru roof rack somehow accomodate the THULE bike carriers or do I need to buy new ones?
