    Everytime i get into 4X4 I loose my coolant leaving me overheating out in the boonies. Anybody have any ideas whats going on ? Its my everyday driver and never have any problems unless in 4 wheel drive.

    Hey Earl you wouldn't happen to have a 1600 sitting around would ya, or would you happen to know someone who has one. Looking for a good runner. Mine has the lower end going out nad sound BAD. Still get around though. Kris

    Am back in town and forgot how bad the engine sounds. Still drives great though - went to Ellensberg and back the other day and had no problem. But I heard that you have several subies at your place. Would you happen to have an extra EA71 around. I would even be willing to go up to a EA81 and tranny upgrade. Willing to pay for a great set up- eother way. Would like to see what all you have as well while I'm here. Heading back out on the road shortly. Kris. Call or give a return number.     Fuel pump on a 78 Brat should be on the passenger side of the engine compartment mounted on the firewall, below the little shelf. Really easy to replace actually

    Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier but I just found out that I had replies on my posts. I still can't remember how to make a new post though. But no I live south of town on Gren Valley Rd. I work on the road am currently in LA. But since I can't make a new post I'll ask you. theres a 78 brat in Phoenix that needs a fuel pump. Wheres it located ? Do I have to pull the motor or is it easy replacement ? You can call me at 509 230 - 2690 Thanks Kris

    I just ordered rear bushing and rear shocks from Subaruparts.com. I have a 78 Brat and ordered the parts by the actual part numbers. There 81 parts but from what I understand is that these will fit. Mustache bar bushings # = 62004020 Rear shocks # = 621003621 Front shocks # = 621052152 77-78 621052270 78-81 I haven't ordered the fronts yet but will in the near future. Hope this helps. If these fit I'm going to breathe easier when driving all over the hills.

    Count me in as well. I just called the guy in Cali and he would need a detailed drawing or an original. Which puts me out. My rar sway bar bushing in non - existant anymore. Not to mention shocks and struts for my 78 Brat.

    I recently bought a 78 Brat and have done a few things and ned to do a few more. So today I did a compression check and was all over from 132 - 145. Does any body know what it is supposed to be ? Or where would I look. Nobody seems to have any info at the shops anymore. So it looks like a valve job in the near future. hope I can still get them . . . I'm also looking for shocks, struts, and rear sway bar bushings. Is there anywhere to still get these parts ?
