  1. Skip this was your car?! Cooooool! Where you the one who put the Legacy turbo, Ford IC and exhaust? And had the bored out 2.0L EA82T? I actually put the rims on... I believe that it was Dennis who swapped out the hubs for 5-lug XT6 hubs, the brakes, and interior... I'm so curious to know the history of my car...
  2. Thanks for all the compliments! Most of the hard work put into this car was done by the previous owners. Yeah the shifter is off a Honda. The tint is 10%. It was done professionally, and the guy wouldn't shut up about how hard the back window was to do...

  6. Good ol' Mobil 1 10W-30 gets my vote - the turbo cars are a lot harder on oil than the N/A's are...

  10. Daaaayum! 15 psi? Did you retard the timing? My wedgy will detonate at 13 psi or so unless I retard the timing... Also: 2300 lbs sounds damn light... is your car AWD or FWD? 3AT or 4EAT?

So a few days ago I was almost owned by this bastard in an SUV making a left turn after his green arrow turned red *grrr* I seriously came within milimeters of hitting him as he crossed in front of me - I heard and felt a light thud but that was probably my car stalling out from my failure to slam on the clutch along with the brakes - anyway, I was spooked and my brakes have been somewhat mushy so I decided to do something about it. I buy a one person brake bleeding device - it's a rubber tube connecting to this little plastic bottle that you stick above the caliper so that it's impossible for air to get into the system - and 2 bottles of DOT 4 fluid. I took extreme care when flushing my old fluid - I am certain that there is no air in there. Yet, When I started the car, brakes are still mushy Am I expecting too much? My old XT6 had a nice hard pedal... but maybe something else needs to be worked on... besides air in the lines, what else could cause a mushy pedal? My XT Turbo has XT6 calipers and rotors, but I am not sure about the master cylinder, brake lines, and all the other brake hardware. Did the XT6's and Turbo share this hardware? The mushy pedal annoys me enough that I'm inclined to replace the entire brake system....

  14. Looks like a part of the wheel bearing. The center caps of my wheels won't fit, and I've been itching to saw this bad boy off: Is sawing off the little metal protruding part sticking out a bad idea?

  19. Welcome! I'm half Puerto Rican myself. Haven't been to PR since I was like 8. Family is from the Mayauez/San German area. How do you like driving around your scoob in a tropical climate? hehehe. At least PR has mountains, I live in Miami and AWD is a waste here. No snow, flat as a board...
  20. I've noticed over the past few weeks that my car isn't as zippy as it once was... Redlining it on my way to work this morning, I noticed that the boost pressure was about 2 psi less than normal, and the needle was fluttering, like shaking back and forth about half a psi. This is probably a boost leak somewhere, right?
  21. My EA82T has delta cams, Idles at like 1500 and obviously, will pretty much stall out if you don't feather the throttle below like 1000, but around 3000 RPM's it really wakes up and goes. Generally, it's pretty streetable, but it can be a bitch it traffic

  23. I know that's the final drive, but what are the gear ratios themselves? Oh and I'm kinda a n00b... what does "dual range" refer to?
