i swapped my engine and it works well and i am happy with my 96 2.2L engine. one must reseal and update a lot of parts before the swap.

I live in NJ, where can i get a headlight/hi beam assembly switch without going to a dealer? this is for a 1996 sub legacy.

Jeff, what would be cheaper to hve head gaskets done or get a rebuild engine? what kind of engine would you recommend? currently, it has a 2.5L which i heard this engine is a bad one. eli

then i need a subie mechanic in NJ i can trust to do the right job of replacing or repairing the H/G. i don't trust the local mechanic in my town.

did the compression test no external leaks. i got bubbles in the resevior.

it has a new cap too. I have not seen buble yet, but there seem to be oil present, not sure yet. my bro-in-law did a co test in the rad and no co present. i already spent $1700+ on possibilities. it is 96. i would like to have a subie mechanic to tell me exactly what is needed to get this done right. eli

i got installed, new water pump, timing belt, thermastat, but antifreeze is backing up into resevior. i need to find out what exactly needs to be done and what will it cost. eli

I need a reliable and knowledgable Subie mechanic. I spent $1700 last week on a job that did not solve my overheating problem. help!
