if you really wanted a cheap track car get yourself a early to mid 80's celica with a 22R. It is rear wheel drive and would definately take the abuse. Can usually pick a runnin or close to runnin for a couple hundred wing wangs

I remember how mad i was last year with our huge snows and everyone complaining about how they don't put salt down. Well being from Indiana, i wanted to smack these people and say NO YOU DON'T WANT SALT. When i moved here, i had NEVER seen anything like the cars here, like pacers, bugs, soobies, i was amazed.
i really hope they don't stick with salt because a bunch of people can't drive in the snow or have the sense to just stay home for the day...

if its not too rough then i would get it, when will you ever find a loyale around there again??? lol. and you're right, you probably would never find an ea81 without driving out of state..

this will make the spider gears work way harder than they are supposed to and will wear out the front diff faster than normal driving. its not horrible on em but its not great for em either.
if you took the other cv axle out it wouldn't be as bad for it.

I would search for the check valve in the fuel line but if you can't find it, see if the fuel pump is holding pressure.
