  1. Cool thanks! 17 it is... or tight.. thanks for explaining it I guess I didn't think that the axle nut was also holding it all on.. lol
  2. Are you sure? When I took em off it seemed much more than 17... It seems pretty important to me, because the wheel is mounted on the hub and the hub is connected to the disk by those four bolts. If they weren't tightened properly it seems like the wheel could come off during operation.
  3. Starting to get really close to finishing up however theres still a couple things that I'm not sure about. I got it started today but the water pump started puking so I had to put a new gasket on that... Anyway here's my questions: I don't remember disconnecting this... Do I need to connect it? That's the fuel filter and master cylinder in the background. I also dont remember disconnecting the cylidrical electrical connector underneath and behind the airbox... What goes to that? I did get the lower oil sensor thing connected but I'm not sure where the wire is to connect the upper oil sensor... any idea? This connector is off the end of the main harness and is the same style as the fuel injector connectors but about a foot longer.. what's that go to? What does the other end of this vacuum hose connect to? Right now its hooked up to a lot of stuff.. IAC, Air intake, Carcoal canister, intake manifold etc... That's it for now, you guys have been a huge help getting me along this far so thanks!!
  4. What should the four bolts on the hub be torqued to for an 87 gl-10? I can't seem to find it in the Haynes manual.. The haynes manual isnt so great when it comes to torque specs they had almost triple the correct value for the flywheel and pp bolts
  5. If anyone needs me to explain the pics a little more I'd be happy to... Anybody out there with a EA82t???
  6. I'm almost done with the clutch/head gasket job, but I need some help with vacuum and heater hose. If anyone has pictures of an ea82T engine bay showing vacuum hose connections or just high res stuff that would be super, feel free to post up. Here's some of my own: Do those two on the right side go together? Where does the one in the upper left go? Whats the black box in the red circle? The nipple snapped off of it, do I need to fix it or can I get rid of it? Does the metal line above it connect to it? Where do the ones in the yellow circle go? Does this one connect to the nipple under the intake coming out of the engine block? How about this one? I've made those connections so far with fuel injection line, the rest are vacuum connections correct? And I know theres one or two t's in there how do those go? Thats it for now, as always any help is much appreciated hopefully I can get this thing back on the road soon!
  7. Coming off the block where does the air bleed hose run to? Its number 1 in the diagram. It has MPFI and a turbo if that helps. Thanks!
  8. Should there be any rtv or gaskets where the pressure relief hole mates (cam tower to cylinder head)? Is it just rtv around the perimeter and an o-ring in the oil passage? Or is there more?
  9. What is the name of the cover behind the flywheel, directly to the right of the rear oil seal? I'm trying to find the gasket for this to buy by itself but it seems that it only comes in the "conversion gasket set". I only need that one and an oil pan gasket and would much rather pay $10 than $50 and have left over gaskets. Or would some sort of silicon gasket sealer work fine for this?
  10. Actually the driver is my girlfriends dad, I'm pretty sure he bought the car new in 87 but I might be wrong... I'm thinking that maybe it was out of adjustment, but I dunno.
  11. Cool, so milling will be sufficient then? I dont have to replace it?
