  1. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/car/633316163.html This time I know I found one. Yes it is my parents car.
  2. I really have a problem with this "style" of repair. It may work to get you home, but those hose clamps were never designed to hold that hose on at that pressure. If you get in an accident and someone is hurt, or killed, you will be glad you saved a few bucks on that repair to help with legal fees. I know I am new here, and don't want to start a war, but that was some very bad advice that was given to you.
  3. I thought that was a sus My parents have one (a SUS)that they keep talking about selling, but they don't really want to sell it. When they do, it will be listed on the for sale board first!!
  4. here's one for sale--not mine:banana: http://desmoines.craigslist.org/car/541106343.html
  5. MAC ET50 is the model number. It has the definitions on the display, in the book, and on the CD that is included. According to their web site it's $69.99, but I know mine was $50. I bought it to scan my wife's Buick (the dealer wanted $50 to scan it!). Flag down a Mac Tool truck and ask them about it, they have been selling like crazy!
  6. I have a MAC Tools one that just reads the codes and will reset the CEL and it was $50, I will get the model number and post it here later.
  7. Blowing the dust off an old thread.... So is there a different sensor for the temp gauge? mine don't work very well. When my 96 Legacy Outback 2.2 wagon is warmed up, the gauge is just a tiny bit above the cool line.
  8. I run wix on everything or Car Quest (made by WIX) NAPA filters are also made by wix. WIX also makes many OE filters (I don't know if they make Subaru ones though).
  9. SUS is being used right now, but will be for sale in the future. the 96 was my brother's and he got a company truck, since he lives in Chicago, he needed it gone. I got a good deal on it. I just put in a new stereo (the old OE one caught on fire on the Kennnedy expressway) had to hack out the original plug, and I got the fader backwards (I hooked front to rear and rear to front). I will be installing an amp and box (because I already have it) too. I will have to get some pics up and try to make it to a meeting to show you. Brian
  10. I have a Comanche 35" SX swampers, 6" lift, dana 44 front, 9" rear:clap:
  11. Hello Brian from Iowa here, I finally got a subaru of my own, I was always borrowing one from my parents when my truck was in the shop. :Flame:96 Legacy Outback wagon 143000 miles I am sure I will be asking a lot of questions and will be calling McBrat often:eek: for help too. Brian
