  1. I fixed my wheel delema, now I have a lift one. Does anyone in the states make a 3" or 4" lift kit for brats or hatchbacks? I found several in Aus. but they think they are gold or something, and the shipping would probally be as much as the kit. Thanks, :-\ Poleok
  2. Sorry for an 83 brat and an 86 hatchback to a 5 hole newer sub
  3. I found a site that had 4 to 5 hole adaptors but I lost it does anyone know who I'm talking about? E-Mail me at jc1833@msn.com I'm poleok and I have 3 subs 2 83 brats and 1 86 hatchback Thanks, poleok
  4. Remember you have a fuel filter and a water seperator. The seperator is under the hood and the filter is on the rear passenger side just in front of the tire attached to the floorboard. Also for the take off problems check the plate under the pickup coil in the dist. if it gets dry sometimes the balls get rusty and they stick so on advance they jump .
  5. I have always installed a overflow tank to all of my subs, just a cup low and they tend to run a little hot. A cheep way to do it is to put a anti-freeze jug between the lower hose and the frame, and add a length of fuel line long enough to reach the bottom. It is a tight fit but it doesn't move even when you bounce around. I replace mine every year when I put in new anti-freeze because rubbing against the frame tends to put a hole in them. Hope this will help someone.
  6. Thanks for the welcomes. I look forward to talking to all you guys. I spent 5 years at Hannah Subaru in Vancouver,Wa. but I still learn every day. I haven't been without at least 2 subs since 1984. Lots of fun and scraped nuckles and I wouldn't change even one day. I am about to get a digital camera so I will post some pics. pretty soon.
  7. From my exp. with a hard shift, usually the imput shaft bearing gets worn from the ertra pressure and makes it hard .
  8. Hi there, Just a note to everyone to see what's up. We have 1 82, 1 85, and 2 86 4x4 hatchbacks and 1 86 brat. My 86 HB is lifted and the front fender wells have been opened up to let the 27x8.50 14 wild countrys turn all the way without rubbing. We are just starting to do the other 86 this time we are makeing a body lift so we don't have to bend the struts and do the wheel wells. I just stopped at Les Schwab and they sell a 27x8 front tractor tire in 13 in. you can't run it on the road but it would work great off road. Also I need a rear punkin for an 86 three door RX if anybody has one. Talk to you later, poleok
