Thanks for the helpful responses everyone. Anyone local know about the above mentioned places or any other places that I should check for heads? Maybee I'll go check the nearest subaru graveyard tommorrow.

And I still have to deal with this guy
broken intake manifold bolt, probably cracked the heads just trying to get the manifold off:lol:
-
3of them look like this
and 1 looks like this:
so that last one probably is too damaged, huh?

Pulled the engine out of the rx for seal/gasket replacement, to discover both heads are cracked between the valves. So, what are my options here? WA people, I hear there is a place near Auburn that can get heads from. I know there is a place in Everett where I might be able to get a whole engine from, or aarons auto wrecking in seattle. Has anyone delt with these places? Ideas/comments appreciated.

Well, just discovered tonight that I'm in the same boat as you. My heads are cracked, and this leaves me unsure about the condition of the block. So I should check those with a precision straight edge? Anything else?

And can the rx decals just be ordered from subaru? Mine are quite faded as well.

Looks very nice. I will probably be doing this to mine at some point
-
How did you guys get your headers off? I was not able to get mine off till I had raised the engine several inches
-
NOw would be a good time to get mine since the engine is pulled out

Corky, PM'ed you

Yep, Reddevil, on Nasioc, I think he's on here too, did a NICE custom supercharger setup.

Pester Sean at RalliTek. The RX we had had so much power it killed the stock clutch right away. Whatever set-up he came up with made that sucker smoke all 4. No shnit.
I think I'll go on the rallitek forum and ask about it
-
Mine has cruise control, not that I'll ever use it

So, Once they get to Folgers, then we still have to pay shipping, am I right?

Very cool!, congratulations

Just another RX pic...nothing special...
Every RX pic is special. Lookin good

doesn't heat wrap, shorten the life of the pipes, by holding moisture in? Maybee some ceramic coating would be nice
...in an expensive way

Corky, why must you trample over my dreams?! I know it wouldn't fit, but I can still think about it
-
....thinking how that would fit on my legacy...
-
cornering is kinda scary compared to my legacy which has adjustable struts, adjustable rear sway bar, and rear strut tower bar. Has anyone swapped out their rear sway bar on the rx for something stiffer? Actually the Rx seems to come out of corners better, while the legacy goes into corners better, but thats due to the rx being a 5speed turbo, and the legacy being NA automatic.

I hope Fels Pro gaskets hold up. Thats what I will be using.

OOH ya, baby!
