I just bought a sandrail/dunebuggy (what ever you prefer) it has an EA71 I would definitely like some help with. i dont know how to load pics on here or i would. I had it running the last few weeks and then yesterday it just died. i know for a fact the battery died. But have charged it since and it still wont fire and stay running. I love the subaru setup and dont want to ditch for a VW but might have to if i dont figure this out. any help would be greatly appreciated. ITS JUST A LIL DIFFERENT FROM MY OLD STI.... LMAO:lol::confused::confused:

newbies welcome????? how about brat buggies? definitely would like to meet some people with some knowledge. im not street legal though... I would have to talk to the ole lady and see what she thought but im down. (currently dont have a DL... WHOOPS) yall party or drink much?

its definitely going to need some work im not getting enough spark/gas... sont know which. its a single barrel carb.. did this come standard i had her running fine and then the battery just drained?????? no clue where to go from here but not giving up hope. a mechanic friend is going to come look at it later today and try and help rewire. there are so many wires everywhere and half of them are not connected/cut/burnt. lovely situation. she tries to fire but just cant get there all of the sudden.. any thoughts would be great

im in need of a new altenator also any suggestions on upgrading?

I need a new alternator too for the same year is there a better alternator i could replace it with?

I bought a dune buggy with what theey said might have been a substitutes brat motor and tranny. i figured out it was a EA71 so that corrolates with a 78-80 brat. Defineately would like to know the exact year the other number I found was 731242 any help would be greatly apreciated and im definately gonna need some help with wiring. Thanks
