  1. Can you email me more pictures of your Brat? Email is jboymechanic@yahoo.com, most interested in the bad areas of the car. Thanks.

    Jon

  2. I'm sorry to hear about your change in situation, why don't you send me an email with more details. When exactly you need it gone and any outstanding mechanical issues that may prevent it from being driven from Duluth to southern Wisconsin. Asking price would also be nice. Email me at jboymechanic@yahoo.com when you have a chance.

    Jon

  3. Oh, and I see it's your birthday, so happy birthday too.

  4. Tom is right, I am a nice guy and a glutton for punishment (like putting 24 hours of work into a $250 legacy with 230,000 miles), but then again, so is Tom. Nice to "meet" you Crystal.

  5. Jeff, the shipping cost for the inter cooler turned out to be only about $25 so I'm sending you a $25 refund as the price was $100 plus shipping. I used the post office and shipped yesterday, you should see your parts in about 7 to 10 business days.

  6. Your payment through paypal just cleared today, I will be stopping at the post office on the way home from work to ship.

  7. I haven't sold it yet, the other guy is taking his time. If want it, it's yours. Paypal me at jboymechanic@yahoo.com and send me your address and I will have it shipped out tomorrow morning.

Never Mind, just received payment from Redlipstick. Sorry.

  8. I can't send you a private message, so this is the best I can do. The total cost with shipping will be $150. If you are in, just send paypal email address jboymechanic@yahoo.com and I will ship it out immediately.

  9. Please see my reply in the original thread about the Brat in the junk yard. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  10. The castle nut is the nut I was referring to, so you're already in good shape. I've been going over everything in the new wagon. All I have left to fix is replacing the front axles, finding a front windshield washer tank and pump, and finding front fender liners.

In the glove box of your car there is a instruction guide for the radio that includes the code, but I think the radio has just had it. Btw, rather than the face coming off the radio when you leave the car, there is a button to release the whole radio from the dash and a handle to carry it like a lunch pale. Too bad it doesn't work, it would be kind of neat. 1958 Oldsmobiles used to be like that from the factory, except the radio had a battery and speaker built into it so you could use it for picnics!

  11. AJ, check the torque on that rear driver wheel bearing, it was brought to my attention by a fellow USMB member around here that I might not have tightened it properly.

  12. Does the steering shaft need to be extended for 2" lifts?

  13. Our K car was a great car too, my dad later bought a used Chrylser E Class from a little old lady. Super clean with very few miles, that car was a piece of crap. Constantly running goofy and breaking down, eventually blew the head gasket with only 84,000 miles.

  14. Thanks for the tips for OBDI vs OBDII, I'll stick to OBDI. So, you're a subaru nut but you have a LeBaron and your user name is Dodge Aries K? You're also a front wheel drive mopar fan (depending on the year of you LeBaron). What other kind of mopars are you into? My dad has a '74 Dodge Charger (last year before they turned into Cordobas) and a '79 300 (special packaged Cordoba). My first car was a 1982 Chrysler Cordoba, which my dad is currently selling finally, and I'm currently building a 1956 Imperial Coupe. When I was a kid my mom had a powder blue Dodge Aries K with a 2.2L and stick. The only option the car had was AM/FM Radio. The interior was a matching blue vinyl, we used to melt crayons in a pile on hot summer days on the back seat. Once they cooled off at night, we'd get a bid swirled pile of wax that would peel right off the seat! It was a good car that we had for a long time.

  15. How much would it cost to ship a roof rack and rear bumper with spare tire holder to zip 53185?

  16. Did you buy your roof rack and bumper from HTI? How much was shipping?

  17. You're exactly right, I live on the northern edge of the Town of Waterford before you hit Tichigan. I live on E River Bay Dr, which is only a few miles North of where 164 ends at 36. I drive that few miles of 164 and it is rough on my short wheel based Honda Civic.

  18. mmmmmmmmmm they're spectacularrrrrr.

  19. Tom, when it arrives I'll give you a call and invite you over to check it out with me (bring your Loyale too). I know what I'm doing mechanically, but I learn by my own experience and from others. I'm already learning a little from that rusty '92 Loyale, started replacing the rear driver wheel bearing. Car is really easy to work on, as an engineer I appreciate its simple designs. It would be even easier to work on if it wasn't so rusty. I live just off of Highway 164 on the north side of Waterford, not a long drive from you. I'll let you know when it arrives.

  20. What kind of preventative care? I take good care of my cars, but is there anything above and beyond the usual that I should be aware of?

  21. Hey Tom, I purchased a 1987 GL-10 Turbo wagon from MysteriousXTC. Check the car out in the classified section, just waiting for payment to clear then the car will get shipped from NC.

  22. By the way, I'm still pretty new to the USMB, so how do you PM somebody (assuming PM means private message)?

  23. I did a little calling and emailing around and I found a transporter that can ship the car from your house to my house for about $500, which is a hell of a lot easier than flying down there, getting a taxi to your house, and then driving back without car titled or licensed in my name (and therefore not insured either). I'm ready to send you a money order if you're okay with the price. Let me know. Thanks.

  24. I suppose I should just give you my name and phone number. My name is Jon and my cell number is 262-716-4865. I hope to be able to purchase your wagon. Oh, one last question, does it have a digital dash?
