  1. Sounds great! Glad to hear you're in the area
  2. Hi everyone, I'm moving from Seattle to Monterey, CA for work in mid September! Is there anyone on here in the Monterey area? I hope there are some Subaru nerds like myself around -Lisa
  3. Welcome to the neighborhood! It is generally a nice place, and there are lots of us in the area! I'm sure you'll see plenty of awesome subarus around! Definitely heed the warnings though. Tools are not safe in a car overnight. I'm not one of the unfortunate ones who has had stuff stolen, but am not the least bit surprised to hear that it has happened a lot lately in this area. Its a damned shame. Other than that though, you're in a great spot!
  4. Oh, I do what I can to keep this wussy city safe... Like driving Subarus. I think that helps a lot.
  5. I guess I'll add pictures too... My cutie car! My 1st baby Me and Lemmy in last year's "big snow" We're wicked tough... don't mess with us
  6. He's running well! Jerry and I gave him a "new" fuel pump and a new fuel filter and he started right on up! New timing belt for security since the alternator belt was cracking and I know the timing belt had been sitting on it for a looong time too! He still has his funny little quirks, like the idle that jumps around occasionally, and that valve tick. And while Jerry and I were replacing the fuel pump we discovered approximately 8 holes in the exhaust... so he sounds all grumbly! And he hasn't blown the fuse yet that controls the dashboard lights since he's been running again, but I'm ready for it! I missed my little monster
  7. The trick is to slide under the car and bash up a few knuckles and scratch/chip your nails THEN go get a manicure to fix it all up!
  8. Yup, that was quite the surprise! For a moment I thought maybe we'd get to drive away looking classy! ...no such luck!
  9. Thanks Ed!!!! It was a great day! Too bad we drove off in a Porsche though
  10. Not very many subarus, for sure. But lots of cool cars anyway! It was definitely a nice surprise running into you, Ed (and Jeanne!)! Glad we both got a late start!
  11. I mayyyy be able to make it out that way depending on when/where it is and whether I can find a little free time to put a little work on my Brat!
