  1. I have a '92 Loyale wagon (not turbo) and it has two fans.... One that's electric and one that isn't. The one that isn't electric has a bad fan clutch and some of the blades are chewed up. After trying all the regular parts stores and they didn't have a listing for the fan and clutch, I went to the dealer and they said they don't have a listing for it either. Where can I find a replacement, or even a part number? Dianalee
  2. What is "the tool" (as in how does is work and would I really have better luck with it) and how much does it cost? I'm going to have to do this again (replace the timing belt) in 60,000 miles, right? That's about a year for me and I would like it to be easier next time or I will find myself putting it off. I did try jamming a screwdriver in the flexplate and now my timing window is bigger. I'm thinking of putting a curtain over it and plants in front. Dianalee
  3. Good luck! I've been trying to accomplish the same thing on my 92 Loyale. So far I've broken two strap wrenches (one was supposedly designed for removing crank pulleys) and I still can't get my crank pulley off. Although I've gotten lots of advice from here, I can't seem to make it work. Dianalee
  4. Thank you very much for sending me the link to help with replacing the timing belt I am having trouble in that I can't get the crank pulley bolt loose. I tried putting the car in gear and putting a very large screw driver in the timing window, but the crank still turns. Do you have any ideas? Thanks Dianalee
  5. I have a '92 loyale (manual) 120,000 miles on her. Broke a timing belt. Do I need to replace the water pump while in there? Anything else? What suggestions do you have? Thanks Dianalee
