  1. Milesfox: that is great to know, thanks for that info! So I have read just about every purge control thread on here, seems like I can trick the ecu with a 33ohm 5w resistor. However I am uncertain how to go about this. Haven't work with resistors and solenoids.. Do you just connect the two connectors with the resistor?
  2. I have had my CEL going on and off for sometime now and it's time to get rid of it. Mostly because I have to bring it in for emmisions.. So the CEL seems to come on when the car warms up and then randomly goes off.. I finally figured out how to pull the codes (thanks for the write up) With nothing connected I get Code 35 with the White test connectors it get a 35 (Purge Control Solenoid or Circuit) 11 (Crank Angle Sensor or Circuit),13 (Crank Angle Sensor or Circuit) 24 (Air Control Valve or Circuit ) I have no idea where to start. Thanks in advance for your help / replies!
  3. Then what is this $80 part that come up when i search for a 1990 Subaru Loyale Knock Sensor? part #KS89 My CEL comes and off at what seems to be random times, my mechanice said it maybe my knock sensor.. I need to get my washington state emissions test, however, from what i understand it will be an automatic fail if the CEL is on.. (this is my first test in the state of Washington, NY does a safety check)
  4. Does anyone have information on the KS89 Knock Sensor?! Of course I couldn't have the cheaper sensor! Its a 1990 Loyale Wagon (non-turbo). Thanks guys!
  5. Do you have to take apart the dash to do so? If so how do you take the dash out?

  7. So my Ac/Heater Fan Only works on the first 3 settings, The Blower Motor and Resister was replaced when I bought the car.. I would like to swap out the switch myself however I can not seem to locate the the access point to get the switch out. Please help! Thanks!
  8. Thanks Mr. Loyale for that awesome info, I would have never guest that was under the plugs. Are these the only bolts that hold up the bumper? It seems like there should be a bracket of some sort under the tail lights, there are 2 holes in the bumper... Ps it is a Wagon.. Thanks again!
  9. Hello everyone! I am hoping someone can help, I have a 90' Subaru Loyale with a saggy rear bumper. I crawled around under the car to find how it was attached all I saw was screws that seem to just connect the bumper to the bumper cover. I searched Hi and low for a repair manual, only found for engin and electrical. Could someone please tell me how to detach / reinstall bumper? Many Thanks, Brian
