  1. YAH saw it on highway 18 goin west/south literally after buying a 88 lifted with rebuilt engine, etc etc anyway its tinted windows, an outstanding blue paint job, and think a winch and custom bumpers, he did defintaely have the EJ 22 because he pulled hella on the 1.8 fuel injected and he was lifted with aftermarket rims
  2. ok guys thanks a bunch, i will try next time im out there
  3. well if hooking it straight to the battery doesnt work maybe i will try that, it was sent from redline though, do you think maybe they coulda rebuilt and put in back wards? also what size jets you think should be used at sea level?
  4. i have a feeling that the sensors that keep the power flowing to the choke are going bad and not supplying power so its staying closed. so im going to jump 12 volts off the battery straight to the choke after it warms up a little
  5. eh, 130 were i am. usually only start posting on here at night. lol
  6. manifild bolts and studs are almost impossible without a good amount of time and usually power tools. id run to a local auto supply store and they should be able to set you up
  7. Hi, 1986 subaru wagon, ea82, carb, 4wd, carb issues installed the weber carb after the hitachi started to crap out on me... So it starts up fine and reguler and with almost no hesitation, BUT THEN it heats up, and starts to run like pure crap on take off(load on the engine). will idle fine but give it gas and wants to start argueing with ya. i think the choke is not disengaging making it do this? if you dont think so then what is your opinion on this matter?
  8. hey, im not up there but in the low lands its supposed to start raining for the next week, might as well use and get your use out of them until they put the yearly regulations on again
  9. some cars if the distributer is to far advanced will make it a hard start...
  10. check to make sure you arent leaking (vacuum leak) it will cause it not to idle...
  11. happened on my other car...
  12. i dont remember but some cars need a little spacer between the tranny and the block otherwise the start gets out on the flywheel and doesnt line up right and makes it stop th gear almost instantly, perhaps if your car had one it fell out after the shop was done or they didnt re- install
  13. Just curious to see if anyone has put a ridicoulous engine swap in there subaru. (i.e. say chevy 350 or ford 6.0 liter, Turbo SR22..., etc, etc.) Please post pics and if you want to costs and what had to be altered....
  14. Got an 86 Subaru Wagon Just got done with the Weber Conversion anyways it is spitting and sputterng after warm up when putting a load on the engine, perfect when cold. So im almost positive that its not anything with the coil, plenty of juice, etc, etc So im thinking the distributer is conking out after 3XXxxx miles on the motor, so i am wondering if the fuel injected models distributer will interchange with the carberated distributer and work?
