Looking for the front cv shaft part number that would work for a '87 wagon. I went to Smucks, or Orileys, or whatever they are called now, and I got a shaft that's not as long as the one I pulled out (that's what she said). The shaft that I got is 60-7043 from http://www.oreillyauto.com, and that is to short compared to the one that I took out. Either I got the wrong part, or I had the wrong one installed. Any help would be great, since my subi is sitting on blocks and I need to drive it to work on Monday.

Eulogious, text me tomorrow...it's been a long week.
Everyone else, thanks for the info. My subi does not have the holes to bolt in newer belts. Not sure what I am going to do, but I won't be ghetto rigging anything.
Not sure what the state laws are...but I do know what the wife laws are. Lol.

Thanks guys. I have looked into the piller area where the seatbelt would mount in the newer model gl's/loyales, and there are no bolt holes or welded in threaded nuts like the one I looked at at the wrecking yard.
I know that I can't put in a booster seat with just the lap belt.
I guess i'm just need to see if anyone else has had a solution to this or.....
Thanks,
Bryan

Well, I need to put a booster seat in the back seat to haul my kiddo around, but there are only lap belts. Anyone have any ideas to install shoulder straps or a booster seat or?????

Well I have a '87 GL Wagon, and my heat works great! Only problem, is it only pumps out of the vents, no defrost or floor heat. Any ideas?
Thanks, Bryan

Hello everyone! I got my first Subaru recently and look forward to digging into it. I picked up a '87 Wagon for $200 bucks from a friends friend who gave up on it. After having a buddy rebuild the carb (with a rebuild kit that came with the car) it runs great!
I will get more pictures soon, besides these cramped driveway shots.
I know very little about this car. As far as I know its a GL Wagon, right? Any other tips on searching the forums for this model would be great!
Thanks for looking!
