What town? I'm in Anchorage.

So I found the stamp and I do indeed have an EA82. So the Weber K731 kit should work but now comes the other part of my question do I need to just eat the shipping costs and have shipped up here to AK or can I go into an auto parts store and order/buy the kit from them?

I agree with everything Scoobywagon has said but I have a tid-bit to add. If you do run all the wires down one side you should get two faraid nodes. Faraid nodes are, in most cases, round magnets that you should loop the RCA cable through near both ends. Loop the RCA cable through a node behind the deck and once more at the first amp or RCA splitter of you are going that route.
Your computer monitor data cable uses a faraid node covered in plastic and in some cases its on either end of the cable. It is great for cleaning garbage signal out of a 12 foot RCA or any data cable.
PM if you need more info. 3 year robotic club head builder/engineer:banana:
PS. If your still getting light dimming get a capacitor. Some people don't believe they work but my 93' Impreza would beg to differ. I put it right between the battery and power distrabution/main fuse panel and it even started better!! 1 Faraid per 1,000 Watts rms not peak

I do have an EA82 right?
-
I beleive my 85' GL wagon has an EA82 but I have been mistaken before. Up here in Alaska the only walk in after market parts stores we have is Napa, Car Quest, and Schucks/O'Riellys.
Who should I go to or should I just order it online and which one do I need?
k731?

What if I where to take and cut the roof and side windows off around my cargo area. Then build a new rear firewall, can't really think of what to call it, then use the back defrost window from the hatch and put it directly behind the rear passengers heads. So it might look like a four door Brat with a very short bed.
Lots of work but has it been done before??

Since you said you had the suspension maxed out, Im assuming this either has a bumpy road to tackle, or youre going to find it some? If thats the case, many people do the re-drilled wheels as the spoke alloys, are well, alloys and youll damage them and for a 150-300 set of rims... thats no good.
It's not that I plan on taking it down a bumpy road. It's that I tend to have to because I'm a delivery driver. Before I raised the front and just had the rear lifted I could hear rubbing when I tried to drive over deep ruts. But Alaska does have more than it's fair share of wheeling trails. But I won't hit those until the sooby isn't my main form of transportation. 2003 Dodge Durango when I get the heads fixed. The 4.7 suxs!

Thank you guys so much for all the info. Sorry I was misinformed about the Ford rim sizes, I thought it was to good to be true.

hi, those 8 lug rims have 6.5 x8 bolt pattern, they are 16" or 16.5 " diameter and too wide too. there are a lot of threads on modifying some of the 6 lug rims out there, do more searches but a lot of guys use them.
In 1999 Ford went to the bigger 8x6.5 from the previos years 8x5.5. I have been reading about the 6 lug rim mods but I am afraid of screwing up on drilling the new holes.

Hello. I love my '85 but I hate the fact that it is a pain to get new rims. So I did some research and figured out that the bolt pattern that I have is 4 by 140mm. That roughly translates into 4x5.5 inches. So what I'm thinking is that a rim off of an old Ford F250/350, which is 8x5.5, will fit on my car theoreticly. I already have the stock suspension lifts/spring tentioners maxed out so I'm hoping a 15" rim will fit with "low pro's".

My first Subaru was a '93 Impreza, may she RIP. Got this one for free.
Krylon paint job. Better than rust for a delivery driver.

I ment ferrite node, wasn't sure on the spelling though. In my A+ certification class that's what they were called. They are magnetic. Not very strong but they are.
