  1. Looking for a Wiring diagram for the Alternator for this old GL, I burned up one of the wires doing some troubleshooting, it appears it may have been previously rebuilt-any help would be appreciated.
  2. Looking for some advice on an alternator on my 85, today my voltage dropped to 8 and I smelled a burning odor, popped the Hood and discovered the wire going to the alternator was burning, glowing red, I disconnected the Batt. To prevent further damage does anyone know if this harness is available or is it easier than this, looks like it grounded out against another wire. Any Ideas Thanks-Tim
  3. When I bought the wagon, it had a hiss under the hood found there were 2 Vacuum lines disconnected (I believe one is for altitude), It idled rough, but when I connected them idle was smooth-but there is oil in the airbox, I also changed out the valve. Something doesn't jive still troubleshooting-
  4. Picked up this 85 GL wagon for 500 bucks, been driving it for about a year no big issues, just goes through quart of oil every few days. I think of it as a 2 stroke- But here's the symptoms when it's cold smokes alot, doesn't have a burnt oil smell while driving, doesn't leak at all. Once it's warmed up doesn't smoke at all, any ideas-
  5. I have an 85 GL and there is a screw, down and to the left of the airbox. Not sure if carb is aftermarket or stock.
  6. I have an E-82 85 GL wagon up here in Alaska, burns coolant now-then, doesn't stumble though, been driving it for a long time. Thought about dropping off @ AA on the old Seward, or the Subaru wrench in Eagle River but why just run it-There's a ton of E-82's running up/down the Parks-Glenn Hwy's that need more attention than a puff of smoke HaHa up here.
  7. Shipped today. I didn't get a notification from Paypal that you sent money, sorry for the delay.

  8. Shawn I sent paypal money for the fusible Link for the 85 GL could you let me know when it shipped. Thnks Tim
