  1. hey, yeah ihavent been on here in a long time. anyway the legacy is turnin out pretty decent, finally got the 15" forester steelies and some 28" tires, also i did the bottom half of the car in bedliner. i actually got 3rd place legacy at the don miller meet around july. (which wasnt to unreal since there was only like 8 leggos) i was talkin to this one dude there and i didnt know until later that it was thee- miles fox. anyway i still havnt figured out how to post pics but if you check out the madison don miller subaru meet facebuck page theres an arseload of pictures ( theres a couple of mine, but all are worth checkin out). -tom
  2. $h1t, this weekend? man i wouldve frickin loved to go but with work being so slow right now, believe it or not, driving there would really hurt my pocket. i thought u meant THE 27th as in nxt week. that really sucks, i would love to meet a few peoples and check out some subie-trucks. man i like your legacy, ive definetly seen pics, and i think that white one is lifted with byb lift kit ( banner on the front w.s.) damn what i wouldnt do for a setup like that white one. id almost prefer to keep my 14" rims and just get something with an awesome huge sidewall. any idea what tires or tire size specifically i should look into? also, please do keep me informed on other events and meets and such. i would love to go, im totally seriously bummed that i cant make it this weekend. and do you by chance know if don miller subaru in madison still does the subaru meets?
  3. matt id love to get your help on this one. when you do get your gear let me know and ill come down for sure. i was thinking of a bar or some of those d-rings attached to a bar or something on the front of the frame and in that case itll come right thru the bumper, thats ok with me... plus it looks real cool.
  4. thanks for the welcome, ive had her just about 6 yrs to the day. so are you saying that at stock height, or with the lift (and soon to be 1/2" spacers) i can only fit a 26.6"? i fully intend to use some fine dremel and BFH work to the fenders as well. id like to get close to keatons tire size,( not sure what he has exactly) his tires are f***in sick. also whats this about a meet?? tell me more details please, id love to go. -sincerely, tom #2 (j.k) but my name is tom too, seriously, let me know more.
  5. hey everyone. new dude here, these are some pics of my 95 legacy. just got done puttin on the outback and foz springs/struts. next item- bigger rims and tires. anyway heres my light duty off roader. soon to be kick-@$$ off roader http://s1154.photobucket.com/albums/p538/95monsterwagon
  6. no accidents or damage, just missing from the recall. under the front of my car there are two spots where you can see that the tow points were cut off. like you guys said, because people kept bumping stuff and setting off the airbags. now as much as i would love a tube bumper or something cool, i cant really afford it right now. in the future yes, but for now i was just wondering which part/area of the car up front would be best to attach some hooks or shackle mounts?
  7. yeah i think about 1 3/4- 2 inches. as soon as the budget is on my side again il be looking into at least some 15" rims ( preferably cheap steelies) and of course some tires with some deep tread, bfg a/t ko, grabbers, or something. im going to attempt some lift spacers on my own but if not then im gonna need some. already got the templates made.
  8. here is my hoop-d, after the struts http://s1154.photobucket.com/albums/p538/95monsterwagon/
  9. can someone put this where it gos? id really like some feed back on any ideas anyone has or had about this.
  10. well today keaton came over and we got the rears bolted in. we didnt switch the tophats, we just thru the forester struts right in but now i know why you switch tophats, because the legacy tophats may have the same bolt pattern but theyre offset outwards. we bashed the inner wells in a bit to fit but one still rubs a bit so i gotta do a bit more bashing. thanks a crap load keaton
  11. hey not sure where this gos, this is my first real post. i have a 95 legacy wagon and since the front tow hooks were cut off before i got the car, i have no possible front tow/recovery point that i can see. i was wondering about some aftermarket, or preferably DIY tow points? id like to know where to mount a platform , or some sort of bar for attaching shackles or hooks. i know a custom front bumper would be the best but i dont weld and im not rolling in cash. i dont mind going behind the bumper, but i dont know where its sturdy enough.
  12. thanks, guys. yea matt is awesome. i also just met a dude named keaton who seems pretty cool too ( has one of the sweetest subs ive ever seen). well just got the front outback struts put on the 95 lego wagon. now i just gotta get the rear (03 or so foz struts) put on tomarro. ill get some pics after my wifes friend shows me how to use this dang camera. thanks for the welcome guys. looking forward to gettin to know some of you a bit better.
