  1. i might be getting a 95 impreza but i think its 2wwd and i was just wundering how hard it would be to convert it into awd. Mike
  2. i think im going to buy it back from the insurance co. and make it into a perment rally car. Mike
  3. Well i havent posted in a while, but i thought i would make a post tonight because my baby got side swiped early today. We just had a pretty crazy ice storm out here in greaham oregon and i wsa driving down the road a a guy side out into the road and hit me with the back of his s10 p/u spun me around and threw me in the ditch and i knocked over a road sign. It was a sad day. So i might be in the market for a new wagon A GL-10 Wagon so if any one in the portland area or heck even in oregon has one they are willing to part with that runs good and for a good price, please let me know. Sad Day........ Mike http://home.comcast.net/~magik0mike/SubyBitch.html let me know if it doesnt work.
  4. Well guys im fairly new to suby mods and such, but i thought i would share with you guys what i have going on with my 92 Loyale SPFI EA82. Well right now im replacing the Rack and pinion (pain in my A**) and i got a sway bar off a turbo wagaon. Also i took off all the trim and welded all the holes but that didnt quite work out the way i wanted it to, but it will still work. Next i am painting the Beast flat black...yes FLAT BLACK. thats all thats going on with it right now, but i got a shifter off a car at the junk yard as well and plan on making a short shift and see how i like that. Next im going to install a Grant steering wheel some how (if anyone knows where i can get an adapter for this please let me know). Also i am looking for some 14inch pugs( also need help finding those). and then after all that im going to build some extremely sweet tube bumpers that run through my hoood and tie into a strut tower bar. Then hopefully a BYB 3/3 lift. Im working on a limited budget so unsure on how long this will all take, but hopfully not to long. Also i am open to any suggestions to anything else that you guys think that i should do. Oh and i am also getting a Yakima roof rack. and some hella lights for that bumpers. Well guys i think its time to go install the Rack and pinion Wish me luck as i think that one of my manifold studs is striped and i really dont want to heli coil it...$$$$ oh also i am changing to a D/R tranny...Heck Yes!!! Mike is the name and i will try and put up some pics of my wagon ASAP. Hopefully tonight.
  5. Well i just got back from the junk yard and pulled a rack & pinion off for my car, mine seems like it wasnt working right and the boots where torn. i need to know if there is anything that i need to do while installing it like bleed the lines or anything or can i just poor in the power steering fluid and go. i dont seen anyway that i can bleed the lines, but i want to make sure before i get it all going. Also picked up a sway bar off a turbo i think its its a 19mm unsure though and also a rock guard that covers my oil pan.
  6. Whats better LSD or Lincoln Locker, and which is easier to do on a low budget Suby Wagon. also what can i do about the front? Sorry its a quick post i will revise it when i get off work(on lunch). Mike
  7. thanks for the info guys i know now that i am not going to be doing this swap, and ill just look for a EA82T.
  8. i was talking to my buddy who is pretty suby swavy and he said that its alot of work to do the swap from an EA82 to the EA82 turbo motor. he said you have to do the hole wiring harness and all that stuff, well i dont know if he said all that but...i just want to check this out and make sure that its is. Thanks, Mike
  9. I also have a 92 loyale and and i just put a (new to me) but otherwise use radiator in my car and it also runs pretty cool but about 1/4 up on the gauge and it takes about ten minutes to warm up. Best of luck. Mike
  10. hey thanks alot i will deffinelty look into that more. And anyone else that has any other sugjestions please post. i am looking to do alot of work to my car. Mike
  11. Hey all i am in need of new suspension on my loyale and once agian i dont want to go back to stock, struts and coil overs. But i have no idea what after market suspension will fit on a loyale. i want something that can handle a lot of bumps gravels roads and dirt trails any help is much helpful. Thanks, Mike
  12. What about the EJ20 motor. replacing the dash cluster would be kinda cool, i wouldnt mind doing that if it would make the wiring be alot easier. I guess i could settle with 135 hp, that would be alot better then what im gettting outta my EA82. does the motor fit in the engine bay fairly easy and would it be a good idea to put the trany from the EJ in the car as well or should i go for an adapter from the EJ motor to the tranny i have now. it would be kinda nice to have the push bottom 4WD still. Thanks for the help so far guys keep it coming. Mike
  13. I own a 92 loyale with a regular old EA82 and its just way to gutless for my needs and i really want to swap in a new motor and i really need some help on deciding what motor to put in it. I really want to get away from the EA and maybe head towards an EJ22 or maybe a EJ20 N/A or Turbo, i dont know what the hp difference is but i really just want to get up around the 150hp range or ever higher would be ok. I have searched and i havent been able to find anything that realy helps me decided (maybe looking in wrong spot) but any input would help alot. complaints and all. I want to do something before winter hits full on. SO bring it on!!! And thanks for all the help. Thanks, Mike
