  1. Good luck with the suspension, you'll have some major mods a head of you, but if you do it, godspeed, that's awesome. With the EJ swap, also cool, let me know how it goes. That turbo would be awesome!!!!! and where'd you get a lo-mile legacy turbo- i want it!

'81 brat defianately doesn't have power steering, makes for good muscles. perhaps a gen-2 thing? I have NO idea.

  2. My buddy here up north drives a justy... just blew a rod. BAAAD.. who stocks rods for 3 cylinders? King (the dealership i work for) won't "aquire" an engine (the thing is FUBARed, trash), and Super Rupair is fresh out. Meh, i tell him he needs something that ISN'T justy inside of his... how about a 2.2?

And yeah, CO is terrific for subarus..

  3. That's right, she's cracked to the point of illegality, and for anyone who doesn't know: needs to be a brat tailight, wagon, hatch, gen-2 etc won't work

    PLEASE PLEASE ANYONE HAVE ONE?

please list price too.. or shoot me a pm

Put this in here because it's a desperate situation to avoid the red cellophane masking tape trick. I don't want to talk to Jimmy at Super...

  4. I'm too chicken to launch post 2500rpm and I know I have too.

Work your way up to it! you can do it!

it's really hard to take off decently in anything FT4, with my RX, it's clutch to the floor, ease into the revv- depending on condition of engine, street, and tires, i run betwix 2-3k revv. And I let the clutch out steady.. just ease with the same speed all the way through (can't follw this step in anything with a sticky clutch, but if your RX is near to being like mine, it's smooth.. not like a saab or anything, but if you let it out slowly you won't ever lurch anywhere). MAIN THING BEING: Don't go too fast in letting out, you have really valuble horsepower at the bottom of the clutch.

Well, i'm sure you're doing this already, but keep practicing.. RX's are a different drag than i've ever done.

  5. Hey doctor, i too, at a rooky age enjoy the fruits of racing an RX. People underestimate the white box.

I cruise a lot. and race a lot. so shoot me, i think it's fun. I have yet to be in an accident when i was driving (other than that, i have been hit by a drunk man on a motorcycle riding with my mother) outside some damn lady in a cavalier decimating the rear bumper of the legacy.

And I ALWAYS have my '80 Snell behind my seat alond with a set of emegency coveralls.

  6. Legacies are easier to work on and more comfortable. i rebuilt a loyale engine, kind of harder to get to anythign on them. I <3 my legacy for being a super commuter. but a loyale is fine.

I relate to being a 100 % german girl, but i like cars, so i don't know what that says. I'd say legacy for a car-hater. they're too nice not to love..

  7. HI JIM!

Yes you will be at home, but no, you will never be normal after posting a few here..

Glad you can make it, we all love subaru love tales and soap operas (haha, in a non intimate sort of way..:-\ )

I want to see the loyale on 44"s (to anyone that knows; i think it's theoretically attainable, but has it happened?)

    Nice to have you aboard!!
