  1. ok got this off the scan tool today... not sure what it means exactly 02 Bank1 Sensor1 Rich-LN Sw Time Mod $E1 MAX 1.02 (s) MEAS 0.00 (s) MIN 0.00 (s) LN-Rich Sw Time Mod $E1 MAX 1.02 (s) MEAS 0.00 (s) MIN 0.00 (s) Min V For Cycle Mod $E1 MAX 1.275 (v) MEAS 1.275 (v) MIN 0.00 (v) Max V for Cycle Mod $E1 MAX 1.275 (v) MEAS 0.00 (v) MIN 0.00 (v) -------- 02 Bank1 Sensor2 Rich-LN Sw Time Mod $E1 MAX 1.02 (s) MEAS 0.00 (s) MIN 0.00 (s) Min V For Cycle Mod $E1 MAX 0.540 (v) MEAS 1.275 (v) MIN 0.00 (v) Max V for Cycle Mod $E1 MAX 1.275 (v) MEAS 0.00 (v) MIN 0.250 (v)
  2. I have not replaced the O2 sensor... I doubt it is mechanical (timing marks)... this issue cleared up and gave no issues for close to 2000 miles, even got around 27 MPG (mostly highway) on my last tank one thing I do know is the issue cleared up after reattaching the fuel pressure regulator...(long story) while doing I know for a fact my hands bumped into the main harness wiring and upstream 02 wiring... so I kinda think there might be a short in there somewhere. for giggles I unhooked everything last night and noticed he connectors felt oily... in fact it kinda looked like there may have been and oily type moister in a few of the plugs... which makes very little sense
  3. well its happening again... not sure what to do.... rough idle, poor mileage, fuel trims are maxing out, then driving on a stop... what the heck is going on... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/138678-98-subaru-legacy-wagon-is-getting-around-17mpg-after-headgasket-job-ecu-reset-used-to-get-almost-29mpg/?do=findComment&comment=1167133
  4. well they are on my car now... my brother in law says I can have them, says just figure out what I want to pay for them...
  5. ok the exhaust manifold gaskets did not help... I took a closer look at my vac hoses, then I traced the line running to the FPR, it ran under the intake on the right hand side... to a metal line, that ran to NOTHING... well I added a T and hooked the FPR back up, reset the car and fired it up... instantly had a better idle ran 2 test runs and got similar results... http://txtup.co/iVJPd ALSO there is a device under the intake on the right hand, rear side that has a vac hose and some wires running to it, but its not hooked up to a vac hose, and IO don't recall unhooking it, nor is there a port to hook it up to
  6. both exhaust manifold gaskets where leaking pretty bad it was easy to see this once I got them off I could see where they where blowing by
  7. could some one explain to me how to read the fuel trims? the intake gasket is new and good, however I know at least the drivers side exhaust mani is leaking at the head(reused the head to exhaust mani gasket) could this be causing the o2 to THINK its lean, hen dumping fuel to 'fix' the problem I think I figured it out Long Term fuel trims maxes out at +27.3... several frames are a that rate
  8. actually there is an exhaust leak now that you mention it... reused the gaskets, just have not had time or money to fix it
  9. 9. The car through several codes and had shifting issues shortly after being put back together. 10. The car used to get 28mpg highway... now gets 17 or less and also nearly dies when coming to a stop and the idle flutters
  10. 7. I found that there where some hoses unhooked. The hose on the valve cover running to the air box. And a small hose on the intake 8. During the repair the battery was unhooked dor about 1.5 weeks
  11. 2. A few weeks ago it blew a head gasket on the highway and was driven home overheating and stopping often. 3. When I got home I disconnected the battery and started working 4. The 3 main harness plugs where disconnected. 5. The plug on the front o2 sensor got the wires pulled out of the plug... however I was able to get them back in the plug... 2 whites 1 black wires
  12. No change. About 15mpg for last ten gallons. Lets look at what we know. 1. For the first 6000 miles I owned this car the only thing I noticed was that it was throwing a code for an evap. And it would misfire sometimes if it was not warmed up. Then it would do a flshing CEL. then run just fine. 2. A few weeks ago,
  13. there are not too many vac lines to mess with, the car actually had several vac lines disconnected before the head job and it ran better, lol
  14. I have drove it maybe another 100 miles or so on the last reset... it's driving me nuts, seems to pull from 65 to 80 pretty fast, well for a N/A autowagon
  15. My 98 Subaru Legacy outback wagon has is getting terrible mpg right now, today I went through 10 gallons of fuel in about 172 miles, this included about 165 miles on the highway and the rest was city... I am so confused by this, it all started after I finished the headgasket job and reset the ECU, WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON, I CAN NOT AFFORD THIS CRAP please someone help idle is rough some times (normally after coming to a stop) if I did not know better (because I spent a hour looking for it) I would think there was a fuel leak
  16. well I did the 30 minute reset then let it idle for about 15 mins, then drove for almost an hour no issues so far (half highway half city)
  17. well I could only find the 'green' plugs, not the black plugs... but the transmission was shifting a lot smoother after just following the instructions with only the green plug then I took it on the highway... ran it for maybe 5 miles with no issues, only down shifted on inclines or when you really hammered the throttle... however there was one instance where there was some jerking at about 10 miles, I have yet to see this again, and still no CEL
