  1. Thats right, it is more like slap from the left side of the motor. And it increase when i put load on the motor, but when the motor is hot this slap disappear almost or you can not hear it, mybe if you put the car in drive and put load on the motor. I am using ESSO 5W-40 Ultron motor oil, and i change for a few days, but it did nothing.
  2. Do you now how, is the piston slap to the cylinderhead or is it in self piston.
  3. I did that and it did not change the tick. I am using normal oil for cold weather. can this sound come from valve lift og from piston. this car is just drive a 15000 mile
  4. Hi all and merry xmas, When the motor is cold a got a tikcing from the left bank, this is a 2003 outback. I can not hear this tick when the motor is hot or if a let the car run for a 15 minut in idle befor i start driving. I live in Iceland and now it is very cold here.

  6. Can sombody help me about few question. I am a owner of Subaru Outback 2003. 1. My car come with out Security System can i install it by my self. 2. Is possibly to install VCD to my car or is it to complicated. 3. I like to install remote start to my subaru, have sombody try it. I have some experiential working in carelectricity but i do not now how the system is in the subaru. I got all the wiring diagram from the servics manual. Best regards Boddi from Iceland
