  1. Thank you for all the input folks!!! Plenty of witty and creative Ideas! My personal favorite has to be the futon Rack though. Recycling at its best
  2. Finally got some much needed rain here in Oregon.... If only school got out earlier!

  3. Well Im wanting something that is tall enough to pack camping gear into ( sleeping bags, bed rolls, coolers, hunting gear, etc) that doesnt take too much away from my mpg, and is capable of mounting the spare tire down into it when empty. I saw one that a guy had made for a jeep that actually had a swing arm to mount a spare tire onto that could either sit up inside to basket or flip back and rest on the hatch. I wish I had taken pictures but I was on the go as always.
  4. Wiring Harness on the brain... Cant wait till I get play!

  5. I am curious to see if anyone has any neat, unique or awesome ideas for a roof rack. I have an 82 GL and been thinking about building a roof rack for it for a while but I just havnt been able to commit to anything yet. Feel free to share pics. All suggestions are appreciated.
  6. Simply reposting from a highly trusted source. Not trying to tread on toes. The reason for this site is to celebrate, share and enjoy the cool rigs that a subaru can be was my impression. As for the useless crap comment though I greatly disagree because the lift diagrams posted above are very helpful as well as much of the relevent advice that was given to the member who began the conversation.
  7. I have seen a 2 door hatch 12 inches in the air... It can be done if you know what your doing. This "Beast-a Con" ran in the Rubicon in Washington many years ago and placed AND was street legal. Top heavy? Very much so, but I guess if you can build it you can drive it.
  8. The interior dashboard harness is what I need. I am not to worried about having the cyclops light functioning for the moment I just need a vehicle that moves and isn't just a big black lawn ornament. What year is this harness out of specifically? I attempted once before to replace it with an 83 harness but the plugs male to female were not compatible.
  9. Awesome Project! I two have a current project, an 82 GL 4 door Hatch with the trademark "Cyclops light" in the grill. I purchased it my junior year of high school and have been tinkering with it ever since. It is not running at the moment due to major damage to my wiring harness by some pesky mice. I have not yet upgraded to a 2.2 but I plan two once I finish college so as of now it is an 1800 w/webber carb and headers, 4x4 4speed, 4in lift (2 in strut 2 inch of block) Bumpers front and rear in progress as well as a custom skid. Is there anyone out your way that may have a harness for my car? I have scavenged everything within this state as well as parts of Washington and Idaho with no luck, everything has been an 83 or newer which wont work. Advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for sharing your pics, awesome inspiration!
  10. My name is Jessica and I have an 82 GL hatch. Matte Black, Lifted, 1.8 with Weber Carb. I bought it right out of high school. At the moment I am in dire need of a wiring harness since the original was destroyed by some pesky chewing mice. I am new to this forum and just beginning to get a feel for things around here. Any suggestions of references about a harness would be greatly appreciated. I have some experience with Subaru but I have much to learn. I look forward to chatting it up with Y'all!
