  1. Yup wired the two white wires together and the two black wires together on the resistor and car shifts perfect and goes into overdrive now. Just goes into gear firmly cause of now high line pressure but its not even that bad
  2. So I ripped apart the dropping resistor that I took out of my car.all UT is is Four wires encased in cement. Unexpectedly the two white wires connect and the two black ones connect.so in morning I gonna wire them to by pass the resistor and my car should go in overdrive
  3. Ok I drove it.it did nit really help. Ok from what I read their are multiple solenoid controlling pressure in the transmission.and the duty a solenoid is what controls pressure for first and first to second gear. So its plugged cooler or the solenoid or blown seal. Ugh.anyone want it??? Two grand
  4. Yup thanks.got it out.have not driven it yet.fluid was super dark purple and only about a cup drained out. Is that normal?? Or should more have drained out?? And I had to pry it off with screw driver it was torque on so tight.have nitdriven it yet though.
  5. I have the tranny filter but for the life if me cannot find where it goes.what do I take out to see it in the fender
  6. Its weak line pressure. Put a dropping resistor from a 01 LL bean with 100 k on it and tranny goes back to slipping. So its either blown seal on inside of transmission or the pressure control regulator went. Anyone got a part number for it??? Subaru can't find it in their log.
  7. As far as I can tell they are good.I unplug the dropping resister and no more shudder/slip problem but car shifts into second at ten mph and won't go out if third with it unplugged
  8. I really think its an axle once in awhile well most always now when I get above three thousand rpm in first gear I get a tink sound from passenger side front. Its a fast tink tink and it will stop for split second once in a while like it caught then it continues. Or could be front diff.hoping its axle
  9. I'll try that.I decided to Jeep driving car until it don't move anymore. Now when it shudders the RPMs rise and it stops accelerating. So I just keep taking off slow. I gonna have line pressure test done though
  10. Lol well I have driven the car over a thousand miles now.I drive a lot.problem nit gotten worse.just got to be slow on take off and let off gas when shifts into second and don't go up a hill from dead stop.but car is for sale 2k if anyone interested.I live in brainerd MN
  11. Ha nearest used tranny is in Nebraska that I found for 1200 I live in Minnesota. Aster shipping mine a well re build it for 2200 anyways I'll post what the problem is once so tears apart
  12. Ya but I just want it done enough that someone will buy it for two grand with the paper work. If I move the shifter in first gear it only vibrates once starting out. And then moving it to second while in second I can floor it without any problem. Then I move shifter to third n drive with no problem.its just starting in first and as it shifts to second
  13. Think m my shop should just be able to pull the first and second gear bands and replace them?? Cause of no burning fluid and no metal shavings the first and second gear bands could just be bad from being heated?? Cause its only those two gears giving me problems until I above 15mph or unless I floor it so it drops gears into bad second gear
  14. I do know that when I deactivate the vdc problem gets worse. But looks like I'll bring it in to Kennedy transmission in brainerd MN. 300 to pull it apart to look asst it. 475 to put it back in way it was.
  15. Well towing it would have kept it UN first gear.that could be why first and second are bad cause they use gear bands that touch each other. But honestly when I was changing fluids to narrow down problem it looked like the fluids had been recently changed cause of dampness around drain bolt from draining it
  16. And then doing seventy five if pedal is down about five percent when hitting g gas or letting it off car does a gental vibrate and kinda feels like from between front seats
  17. If tranny is shot how come ours not burning or foaming my fluids?? My Mazda six I built for racing atty least foamed its tranny fluid when seal broke. First and second were shot in my 94 gtp and it burned tranny fluid in those gears
  18. Was towed with front tires on car dolly. Car in neutral with steering wheel tied straight. And just drive it again. When it starts vibrating and juddering when you accelerate moderately our harder the tachometer does not bounce. It stays moving like it should. And doing sixty just cruising their is no problem.but if you floor it once it drops into lower gear it starts shaking bad with no weird noise, just shaking and it slams into gear and felt like it bounced out of gear before it caught again but it stayed in gear. Its just trying to accelerate it happens n once out if second gear does not take much effort to keep the car accelerating so shaking stops is what it seems
  19. Hey my fiancee did tow the car 146 miles from where I got it from cause her friend did nit wanna drive it back. It was in neutral with steering wheel tied in place. But fluids and diff fluid looks like had been changed before like previous owner tried to find problem n could nit. I got car off auction.
  20. My shop says that its almost half a second before car goes into gear every now and then. He said if it was u joint shaft wood almost be falling off. He wants to tear it apart. Ha. That's 1200 right their to have it dropped and pulled apart. But he thinks cause it turns almost full revolution before catches sometimes that it can't be u joint. I dunno. I'll check it out if it does not rain
  21. If it was the rear u joint would not problem go away when I shut off vdc?? Cause problem gets noticeably worse when I shut vdc off
  22. O and I can take roundabouts by my house with tires squealing n giving it gas n no unusual sound.
  23. As for the Tach I dunno have not paid attention. I just know car shakes without any other noise yet seems to accelerate the same while shaking. If you let off gas to accelerate slower the shaking stops
