  1. My 95 Legacy AWD Wagon gas tank need to be replaced. I thought it was going to easy to fix by replacing the inlet pipe. Couldn't get that lucky. It is leaky at the top inlet neck of the tank.It looks to be a fairly involved job of dropping the entire rear drive train and then dropping the tank. It is 10 years old and 172000 miles so welcome to salt in the north east.Any idea on how many hours this should take and anything to be aware of.
  2. Upgrade your brakes to Ceramix. That is what is on most new cars.A lot less dust and you will notice the difference in the way the car stops. Can get them at NAPA.
  3. Need some input on disconnecting the ABS on 95 Legacy .Just changed the front axles and ball joints and wheel bearings.Started out just needed Axles. The pinch bolt for the joints was rusted so had to use the torch to get them out and trashed the wheel ABS sensors which were also rusted in.Tried to soak them ,,,everything ,,but they were so rusted had to use a chisel to get them out...Now I need new ABS sensors for both front wheels and Subaru wants $130.00 for each side...Amazing how the price goes up if they are the only one that makes the part.Really don't care about ABS right now......If I pull the fuse for the ABS circut will the light go out?Brakes work fine and I can't feel any difference from before.By pulling the fuse I hope it will just disable the ABS pump etc and all will be fine until I decide to buy the sensors. Any one else done this?
  4. NAPA has new ones now. They call them Max Drive. Only about $20 more than remans and don't need to turn the old ones back in as they are worn out....Trash.
