I have a '79 with a bad rear seal and possibly bad crank. How about you sell me yours, and rebuild mine?

My 1979 DL Wagon's diagnosis is a bad crankshaft. My mechanic can't find engine parts for a rebuild. Brown exterior, brown plaid interior, with ripped-up driver's seat. Pretty stock, except for custom canoe rack on top. Your counsel/offers please: 1) Keep looking for rebuild parts 2) Swap the engine 3) Bail A. part it out B. sell the car complete. Price range? Any interest?

Am I too late? That price is rather high. I bought mine ('79, 4wd, 4spd) in a little worse condition for $1,500 two years ago.

Hi- I have a '79 DL wagon myself, all stock. First, I'd be interested in digging through your drivetrain garbage if you go modern. Second, please post your progress so I can see if I should follow your path. -BC
