  1. Quick look inside the cluster: There is lot of jumpers, some are connected and some disconnected. Displays have ALL options, both temperature indicators C/F, etc. And also numeric"cruise set speed"! but who knows how they determine on or off?
  2. Those goodies are arrived safely. Great thanks to czny for good packing & schematic cd!
  3. My other -88 EA82T wagon with EA82 heads, says "2 JAPAN". This is what i can see with flashlight, top of the driver's side head only. EDM.
  4. Absolutely sure that´s 8: I´m going to resealing that engine, and i will take some photos of combustion chambers when heads are taken off. You see there is some coolant in wrong place. I think intake manifold gaskets are gone, but there was some other oil/coolant leaks so i took engine up. I am interested of those different head designs, because i've planned to build "high performance EA82T" with using best parts from its era. So, in future, I intend to disassemble three engines: MPFI N/A, Turbo with "spider" intake and one other turbo with Gen3 heads. In this connection, i would compare those EDM heads and share results here.
  5. just looked one of my engines, EA82T in -89 Leone Touring Wagon, with "underlined EA82" heads, and they says "8 JAPAN" on top of the heads. EDM model of course. I can check sometimes my other engines with mpfi/turbo heads, if it helps with this, i have examples from all three generations in XTs and Leones.
  6. Wondering trip computer installation. because here the radio frame is different than the USDM, I need a new frame. Now it looks like this: I need something like this (And that kind of original radio and cassette deck, i like to use cassettes) OR, The newer design control panel, if it suits: I still need the fuel level sender. I am interested also other GL-10 stuff like adjustable intermittent wipers or cruise control, please send PM if someone have one or more of those. "More stuff with one shipping"
  7. I am going to continue this topic when i received the goods, and examine what is inside the instrument panel. It will be interesting how i connect together the 85/86 dash and 87+ car. Of course i will take some more photos.
  8. Thanks Gloyale! Look in this interesting JDM brochure: http://a15ff11300g.sakura.ne.jp/catalogue/AA%20leone/59.10%20leone%204wd%20series/large/59.10%20leone%204wd%20series.large.m.html Look at dashboard, what is that little numeric display under tachometer? I believe that in this photo, there is all possible functions on screen.
  9. I'm not sure of that sender. My catalog says that correct part numbers could be 85111GA153 or 85111GA215i made some searches and one result says that 85111GA153 is for analog cluster: http://www.buysubarupartsnow.com/subaru/gl-10/85111ga153/?year=1989&trim=turbo&engine=1-8l-h4-gas&group=air-and-fuel-delivery&subgroup=fuel-pumps-and-related-components&part_name=fuel-tank-sending-unit i also search with ebay seller's part number: http://www.buysubarupartsnow.com/oe-subaru/85111ga145?search_str=85111GA145 Note: price is same? But this one is little more expensive: http://www.buysubarupartsnow.com/oe-subaru/85111ga215?search_str=85111GA213 I have no idea, which is correct part for digital dash...
  10. OK, i need first check the part number, and if it's correct, i will try to buy from him.
  11. My last visit was quickly, and with my poor language skills it's not possible to post long answers without translation help. My project car really needs whole digidash system, because there in Finland, those cars came with very poor options, and that's why i want to do upgrades now. My car is '87 3-door coupe, but i want use 85-86 model's dash because it looks better. Fuel sender is only thing that missing of czny's stuff. I think model year it's not so important with fuel senders, main thing is that it's pulled from digidash vehicle. Bratman18, if you can sell fuel sender, i'm interested. If you can deliver it via czny, it should be awesome. Only one shipping for all parts should be ideal way get this stuff, i don't want pay twice shipments or customs. Bratman18, i'd like to see some some pictures from inside of your car. Specially, how trip computer buttons are located in your'88 car.
  12. I have an idea. Is there anyone near czny, who have/could get the correct fuel level sender, and could sell it and send to me in the same package as the other parts?
  13. I found a power antenna from a local junkyard. Also the cruise control parts I can get from there when I visit next time. I first need to ascertain which components are needed.
  14. Amazing! Thank you for checking functions. I see that the turbo indicator missing? I guess this cluster is from the N/A vehicle without height control? But it is not so important thing. I don't see Celsius temperature indicator on the display, where all segments are displayed, but the most important thing for me, is that km/h button. czny, email sent to you.
  15. Thank you guys! It would be best to get all stuff from GL-10 Turbo model, because my car have turbo engine. So, list of parts that I need: (please add if something missing) -Whole dashboard harness (or all parts of car harness which are different) -Instrument cluster -Trip computer buttons, unit and display -Fuel level sender -Outside temperature sender -Radio frame if it's different when the computer buttons are installed. (extra question: can i use normal one-DIN unit with this setup, i mean is there enough room in the depth direction?) I have good wiring diagrams already. One new question: Whether there are orange version dash, who says "full time 4wd" in car monitor? I'm going to install the full time D/R gearbox in it.
  16. First test drive with summer tires and first snow became. The next day was a vehicle inspection whose passed without notices. Hub caps painted with body color, for winter wheels And this is what it looks like now: _________________
  17. Other repairs... Painted with rust-stop primer. Rear crossmember came from my other parts car, painted it and most of the undercar parts too, before reinstalling. And more rust repairs... Remember that this was my first bigger car renovation. This one area came from gray XT... First layer of underbody coating and reconditioned parts installed back on the places. Front fenders was pretty rusted: During this project, my welding skills were improved.
  18. I know Subaruxt.com, but if it's not prohibited, i'll show car project here. I have not yet signed up to the XT forum. After seeing the damages, I became depressed. But I decided to finish the job and put the car back on the road! The following pictures show step by step how I fixed one of the worst rusted places, driver's side floor. Here it Starts. Cutted off mostly of damaged areas. New frame... Piece by piece... This was little bit difficult to produce and weld it on place. Almost ready
  19. I'll show you some pictures of the renovation. Click for larger pictures. At morning of the starting date: At evening: My wife helped me to remove the parts. The gray XT is for parts. I bought a third one during the project: (Also for parts, but it's reparable) Car raised on the grill: Found "some" rust... Edit: I tried to add more pictures, but they disappeared. I'll try again later.
  20. I was thinking the same thing. I believe that it has been easier to produce only one type of dashboard, which can be easily changed to suit the different market areas. In that case, i can buy parts anywhere in the world. But of course getting the metric version is my priority.
  21. Can someone post more detailed pictures of the trip computer buttons? Outdoor temperature indicator is a useful accessory here in Finland. I understand that the Orange version shows outdoor temperature in the instrument cluster, and the Green displayed it on the trip computer display? I know that other functions aren't so useful, but it's 80's system and i want to get it in my project.
  22. This is important to know, how the trip computer buttons are located with old/new desingn. Here the radio mountings are different than US models, so there is no space in right next to radio, for buttons. I need to know, can i use new version buttons (located under to radio) with old trip computer? I think they have little bit different functions? I've seen pictures of orange dash, where is button to change km/miles. But can they show outside temp in celcius? I found a few pictures using google: Orange dash with t.c. buttons next to radio: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TS3VAIhQGSQ/UFOqQlMx5eI/AAAAAAAAAlY/LinHwI-AvbM/s1600/1985SubaruGL4wdTurbo75.JPG Green dash with buttons under radio: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v344/gotboost/PB020459.jpg And green dash with "old generation" buttons?: http://www.curbsideclassic.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/JDM-Interior.jpg (JDM-car) I know that is not a plug and play swap, but target car is not a daily driver and i am not worried about the potential problems.
  23. I'm interested of digital clusters. Here in Finland they never was sold, and i have seen them only on brochure pictures. My plan is swap analog to digital! I thought that best way could be change the dashboard wiring harness in same time. So, i need the cluster, harness and trip computer stuff, and the fuel level sender from digital dashed car, as i've read about it, Right? The early orange version looks better, i think that newer one looks like simplified version. One of my cars is a 1987 Subaru Leone Turbo Coupe with part-time 4WD and the project is to make the Leone RX/II replica (never was sold in here) and add some special accessories that Finland has never been available. Is there always trip computer installed with digidash? Sorry for possibly bad english, please notice me if this post was unreadable, i'm new here.
  24. I sent them an e-mail. They don't have any of listed products which I was interested, like power antenna or digital instrument cluster stuff.
