  1. I'm not doing a power build. I need a motor and have the parts in my garage. So 25d gaskets?
  2. Is there a difference between the 97, 98, and 99 2.5 blocks? I am doing a frank and need to know what head gaskets to get. I think the block is 99 and I know the heads are 93.
  3. The pump was from a doner car that I know worked good. I will check for bubbles and the joint on the column. Thanks guys
  4. Auto, 4 new matching tires, and does circles fine. It's almost like something is trying to bind up when turning the steering wheel
  5. At low speed turns the power steering kinda surges. No other issues, belt tight, pullies tight, guns great. Seems fine at higher speeds but you can feel a surge, like it wants to fail but not quite.
  6. Our outback had a power steering fluid leak at the rack and i assumed because low on fluid was causing the loss of power steering, especially at low speeds. I had the rack replaced and that stopped the leak bit not the steering problem. I then replaced the pump and still not fixed. Any ideas what might be going on here?
  7. Will the back hatch and all of the drivers side windows from a 97 legacy gt work for a 97 legacy outback?
  8. Seafoam deep creep is the best penetrating oil I have ever used. It hasn't failed me yet. Spray it and let it sit for a while, that and a little heat should work. Oh, and a big breaker bar
  9. Is there any difference on doing a timing kit in a 2010 outback vs a 2004 outback? Also is the dayco brand a good timing kit to use? Thanks Dp
  10. Thank you for the input. We are looking at an 2010 outback with 92k on it from a Honda dealer. $10k for it is the starting price.
  11. My sister is looking for a subaru. She wants an outback limited with low miles. Any suggestion on what years to look at oor avoid. She wants to spend no more than 10 or 11k. Thanks Dp
  12. Since I have the parts here and they're free, should I get a set of cometic head gaskets for what I'm doing? Or are there better ones (lesser of both evils?) Thanks
  13. Thank you. I just happen to have those parts and I need a new motor for my 99 legacy gt. I'm being very cheep at this point.
  14. This should be a yes or no answer. Using a 99 2.5 dbl cam block, with 93 2.2 heads and the thickest head gaskets I can find. Will this work and have no clearance issues between piston and valves? Thanks
  15. Will a tranny from a 2004 forester work in my 2000 outback. Both automatics
